I personally am a big fan of Valve/Steam and think they have done many great advances in video-games today. From technology with the source engine, to just pure fun with Portal, i think Valve is a dynamo in the bussiness/gaming world today. SO what are your thoughts on this company?

Fell free to talk about your favourite, or least favourite games from the company. Call me crazy, but i wasn't a big fan of the first Half-Life or Day of Defeat.

Steam is one of those life-rafts that keep the PC gaming afloat and for that, I salute them!

Steam is a genius idea, they've got a lot of money out of me that any normal store wouldn't. With their crazy deals and digital distribution you end up with a lot of impulse buying.

I love Steam. The games are top quality, and Steam is one of my favorite programs ever. They sell old games, new games, and are constantly presenting awesome sales and free weekends. And other developers like them too, for instance UT3 buyers were allowed to transfer their CD key into Steam.

Valve, you never really mix the words bad game and Valve together. I think they've been consistently good and without it Garrys Mod wouldn't be around.

While I HATED Steam at first, because it was a forced install with a few games, I've completely changed my tune. Valve/Steam single-handedly got me to stop playing my 360, upgrade my PC and play it pretty much nonstop.

It's just so easy to browse through a bunch of games on Steam and buy one when you're bored and/or download demos. The 360 tried to do that with Live but they only populated it entirely with casual games, some of which are fun, but in no way replace full games. I don't even really need to go hunting through review sites anymore because the selection is also just amazing and they have links the review built in. They also have those awesome sales, I ended up buying L4d for me and 3 buddies because they had that L4D 4 copies for $100 sale and now we play it often, and a lot.

The other thing I love, love, LOVE!!!!! about Steam is that if you buy a game, you own it for life!!!!one!!!!11!!1!11!!!!! Even if you machine dies, you can just redownload it and there is no scratched or broken DVDs.

Hell, Developers should love Steam, I and several friends stopped pirating games because of Steam. It's actually more convienant to use Steam than Torrents.

Steam can be an asshole sometimes (or every day in one case) but it's not a bad thing. It wasn't really something new when it came out but it does offer some good stuff (especially on the Weekend Deals).

Day of Defeat = Best Multiplayer FPS ever.

But yeah, I love steam and Valve. They brought so much to the gaming community and with steam, it is the best online video game store and DRM device.

I've never found a game by Valve that I didn't enjoy. TF2 has been the best multiplayer game I have ever played. Half-Life 2 has been the best singleplayer game I've ever played. They've also consistently kept up with the industry and have netted the least amount of complaints of any game company I've known.

Valve, keep on turnin' left.

Aah, my favorite company and an awesome program. I really love Valve, and Steam with its litle flaws. I have never ever pirated a Valve game except HL2 which didn't even work so I bought it from a friend. I currently own HL, HL2, CS, CSS, TF2, L4D and even though it's not their game - UT3 because it was 11.99 EUR on a discount. Keep on goin Valve.
