/shrug.

I still respect the hell out of my neighbors to the north, and see no reason for them to be ashamed.

Rowdy sports fans will be rowdy sports fans, regardless of nationality.

As a Detroit sports fan/resident I know how you feel. Thanks to the '84 riots after we won the World Series people are still associating Detroit with riots when it comes to sports. Like when the Pistons won it all in 2004 we had hacks like Jimmy Kimmel talking about how Detroit was going to burn to the ground, despite the fact that we had already had a few championships celebrated just fine (Red Wings!!!). But most rational people realize the rioters aren't real fans and that the city is ashamed of the rioters.

*Yawn* Montreal would like to have a word with you how to properly celebrate a hockey game, as I'm beginning to feel bad for the riot cops there as they probably too busy preparing to watch any playoff games anymore.
I don't remember where, but I saw a picture of a guy during the riot wearing a Habs jersey with the caption "Montreal Experts flew to Vancouver to properly teach the Vancouverites how to Riot"

Thurlow and Robson is the end of the world. There are two Starbucks kitty corner to each other.
Was that a Lewis Black reference?

(can't find a youtube clip so http://comedians.jokes.com/lewis-black/videos/lewis-black---the-end-of-the-universe )
I hadn't actually seen Lewis Black do it (until now). I think it was a Dennis Miller or Robin Williams bit for the 90s I was ripping it off from. But who knows. Lewis may have written it for them.
