Ok....that trailer got my Warcraft manhood hard.
SOOOO FUCKING HARD!!!!
(Re-installs Heroes of the Storm)
This is best birthday present you have given me Blizzard.
Was there ever much demand for Ragnaros? Varian, I don't doubt, but never seen much for the other guy.Kibeth41 said:Probably the two most requested Warcraft heroes, too.
It's been a while since Hots added a character I was truly interested in. Looking forward to playing the shittles out of Rag and Varian.
I'm not going to slag anyone for their opinion (well, mostly), but I'll agree to disagree. I've played all three of the Warcraft RTS games, and per the above comments, I can't recall there ever being a time where Warcraft was "dark and gritty." Not outside a few Warcraft II cinematics (burning bodies, end of the Horde campaign in Tides of Darkness, maybe the dragon turtle scene), not to mention that Warcraft didn't really have any kind of story until Warcraft II*, and not any proper characters** until Warcraft III. If anything, Varian is an example of how Warcraft has retained elements of darkness, considering that he dies in the midst of a demonic invasion, and dies in a most horrific way as that.Laxer said:Snip
That's always been my biggest complaint about the game as well, for exactly the same reasons.Hawki said:Was there ever much demand for Ragnaros? Varian, I don't doubt, but never seen much for the other guy.Kibeth41 said:Probably the two most requested Warcraft heroes, too.

Anyway, I'm well aware that Warcraft is by far the largest universe, but by the time Ragnaros is released, there'll be a total of 30 Warcraft heroes, 13 Diablo/StarCraft heroes (13 each), 2 Overwatch heroes, and 1 Blizzard Classic hero. I'll save you some time and give a figure of 30 Warcraft and 29 "other," where one franchise has over 50% of the roster.
Much as I like Warcraft, variety is the spice of life and all that. We haven't had a StarCraft hero since Alarak, a Diablo hero since Auriel, there's nothing from Blackthorne or Rock n' Roll Racing yet, etc.
Apparently the same thing happened to Uther after Arthas killed him.Hawki said:Anyone else get the sense that the trailer was implying that after being killed by Gul'dan, Varian goes to the Nexus, which is kind of like a Valhalla to him? At which point he gets to fight against Ragnaros (and other heroes) for eternity?
