Now this is a more general episode of P&T not directed to Vegetarians really, more towards those assholes who are all "Organic only". Ugh!

But more on the moral vegetarians, to me it's just a load of crap. The second you kill another animal yourself, you become a hypocrite. So think of that next time you're about to slap that mosquito on your arm.

Also Shivari you said.

Yeah, and killing someone when you're really angry at them is natural too. Does that mean we should allow that? Natural =/= good or better or more efficient. It's a fallacy, I pointed that out already. Nature isn't some god that decides what's good and what isn't.
Not so fast there! For the most part, animals will refrain from killing each other except for food. When it comes to territorial battles, animals will rarely die because of them. The animals basically fight by sending messages to each other, and more often then not one animal gives up before a fight even starts. If there is a fight, one animal is more likely to give up, not die.

I don't hate vegetarians. I hate vegetarians who feel they need to tow the "PETA-line". Seriously, you don't want to eat meat, that's cool with me. But leave me out of it. I enjoy consuming dead animals, and fully intend to use the teeth evolution gave me to consume both plant and animal matter, since they're effective at both.

I have nothing against vegetarians, as long as they don't tell me what I can and cannot eat. I know a vegetarian guy who is always preaching at me to stop eating meat, and it annoys the hell out of me.

Well, my problem is the holier than though attitude that I run into with vegetarians trying to tell me it's more humane, more healthy, and more green. If animals carried guns I probably wouldn't eat as many of them, but they don't, so I do. I mean, I came up from hunter-gatherers, not gatherer-gatherers.

Vegetarians are perfectly fine. You know who I hate?

Vegans.

Also anyone affiliated with PETA in any way.

If I see this thread bumped again by another idiot who hasn't read it, I'm going to reach through the screen and pull out your nose hairs one by one.
You're wasting your breath (or rather finger energy). People will continue to needlessly bump it. It's just the way things go.

They could at least read what's been said about this. It's become the folder's little broken record.
You obviously didn't get to read the other vegetarian thread that got made a while back. Think it was entitled Eating Meat: Is it Barbaric? Or something similar to that at any rate. Started by our dear Shivari, it managed to make 32 pages or so of repeated arguments and useless people arguing. Admittedly there was good points in there, but, to take an analogy of the thread, it was a microcosm of the internet: A whole lot of shit with a few gems shining through.

I think it's typical that this topic of all seems to be the most controversial one. Everytime it's brought up it becomes a rather large thread, containing small to massive flaming and rehashed arguements.

Man was meant to eat meat; why change it?

In all fairness, I never really noticed any hate for vegetarians, but I have noticed a lot of parodies, generally with them being hippies.

So long as they aren't trying to force vegetarianism on me, I'm fine. I mean, you get the same nutrients from mushrooms, right?

Why don't vegeterrorists get upset when *animals* eat animals? If your precious animals can eat each other, so can I!

PS - Vegetarianism isn't as healthy as people claim it to be. Balance and quality are healthier than anything.

Yeah, I don't disagree with everything a vegetarian or even vegan has to say. I believe animals should not be mistreated on their way to my plate, and I agree that the food industry mucks up food with god knows what, but if you can find a healthy, quality source of meat, having it as a healthy and balanced part of your diet won't kill you and isn't a crime. Thinking so is what turns vegetarians and vegans into vegeterrorists.
