So far, I am loving ME3, but that's beside the point.

I was playing along with my imported character at the beginning and I went to talk to Liara in her lab for the first time and as usual, the chatting was great.

However, a moment later, she starts telling me a story about how she went and found the Shadow Broker and rescued her friend and all that.
This was very odd since I WAS THERE!!!

Is Mass Effect 3 just calling the ME2 dlcs non-cannon? Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss a news story about this?

What is your experience?

Someone? Anyone?

that is weird, I get that sort of context for new comers, but it should no better if you've completed it.

Actually I started think and maybe the did it this way because otherwise, they would be making parts of the game that would ONLY be accessible to people who paid for extra content in the previous game.

Still, I'd like to find out what happened to other people.

[sub/]thanks for bumping this thread by the way...[/sub]

Are you sure the save you imported had the LotSB DLC included?

I guess it could be an import bug. Like how in ME2 Conrad would act like you threatened him in ME1 regardless of whether or not you did.

Pretty sure...

I'll try a couple of other saves that did LotSB and see if it's consistent.

Pretty sure it's an import bug. Liara remembered that I went on the Shadow Broker DLC with her... but then Dr. Archer totally forgot later that I'd done Project Overlord and proceeded to tell me all about his brother... and how they ended up having to bomb the shit out of the base, since apparently I never went in and saved him. =/

Hey come on, Conrad was under a lot of stress at the time. He was just confused :p

OT: I imported my save from the SB DLC and the conversation matched what happened in ME2.

It was even better with Liara being my romance option. The conversation was even better :p

Could have been a import issue like the others suggested because it worked for me.

Sorry, all the Mass Effect 2 DLC has triggered correctly for me. Zaeed, Kasumi, Overlord, Shadow Broker, Arrival, all of it. Hell, I even got a reference from that ME1 DLC.

It worked out fine for me as well. Although, I did also romance Liara, so that may have something to do with it.

I've had the same luck as this guy. But you're not the only person I've heard about this from.

But yeah... Zaeed and Kasumi knew me. I called David Archer a dick. Garrus and I teased Liara about a Yahg that we saw. Anderson called me out for what I did in Arrival at the very beginning of the game. And that ************ from "Bring Down the Sky" pointed a gun at my head. That last one actually surprised me.

So, bad luck, I guess? Maybe it's related to not having all the DLC (which would SUCK). Did you do all of it?

Yeah, I'd say it's a glitch with your save or a glitch with the import. People in my game refuse to stop bitching about the Mass Relay I blew up in Arrival, Kasumi still wanted me to give her a hand with a diplomat...even though that quest is/was bugged and couldn't be completed, I met the dude autistic dude I saved from Overlord. I don't know if Zaeed will be in my game, though. About a month ago I replayed ME 1 and 2 twice, once to have a pure Paragon character ready for ME 3 and again to have a pure Renegade character. When I was playing through ME 2, Zaeed was mysteriously absent and as such could not be recruited. As such I'm not certain if I'll have his quest in ME 3.

Other than that, though, all DLC from ME 2 has shown up in my ME 3 playthrough.

That does bring up something, though, I had heard people talking about how none of your choices from the previous game have any affect on ME 3...that's just untrue. Plenty of random people you helped and did side-quests for in the previous games show up to offer their aid to the war effort in ME 3, I think it's pretty neat to read the War Asset list and find out about how people like the Zhu's Hope colonists have taken up the fight.
