Here's how you can beat that level very easily..
The way you've described how to finish this part of the game makes so much sense that I honestly feel a little bit stupid now haha.
Thanks alot for the advice!
I might go and give that part of the game a go now :D

Don't feel stupid, COD4 is fucking hard on Vet, I don't care how many boasting supernerds say otherwise.

If the game is gonna cheap you with infinite enemies, cheap it right back by running into thier spawn!

Just wait till you get to 'Heat'... that nearly made me claw my own eyes out...

Well I've completely beat COD4 on veteran (twice!) and will (one day) be bothered to beat 5 (I'm about half-way through), but the one bit of advice I can give is be patient - and learn where to go. Chances are if you try something, it works, and you die later on - that move will work every one in three tries, so keep figuring the puzzle and you'll crack it.

Miracles advise above is sound - learn where the enemies spawn and try and stop them ASAP. There are some "difficult" areas that can be easily beaten with the technique he explained.

Yes, they are pretty hard. Infinite respawning enemies doesn't help either. Use smoke grenades to gain more ground is the only general advice I can give really.

I tried for about 2 hours with COD4 on veteran but gave up after the newsroom on "Charlie Don't Surf"
So many freaking grenades it made me want to break something in frustrated rage.
I'm just not that good I suppose.
Don't worry I'm right there with ya. Maybe one day we can be cool kids, even on normal mode that level was the worst in the game for me.

I'm totally going to try MiracleofSound's technique, you make it sound so easy and do-able.

I have 1000 on both games. On mile high club it almost seems that every 100 deaths the enemies will react differently and its almost doable lol. This took me several tries, but watch some youtube videos and learn exactly where to throw the flashbangs and it will help you greatly.

As for COD5, well, they just love to spam grenades in that one. I didn't find the game hard at all, if the grenade spam was toned down to a reasonable and realistic level it would have been a cake walk.

COD 4 is quite hard to get on veteran. certain missions are harder than others but are all do-able. In my opinion the hardest was "No fighting in the war room". COD 5 is stupidly hard and I gave up after the first couple of thousand grenades were thrown at me

Well, I suck, so I can barely beat the games on hard difficulty, let alone expert. I can barely survive a few missions on regular.

Feel free to taunt me all you like. I'll just imagine your faces over the bodies of the Russians I'll be sniping a little later today.

It's always nice to know there are more of us on the "COD4 Veteran Owned Us" boat.
Don't forget the life jacket! :D

I managed to finish 'Charlie Don't Surf' with your advice!
If 'Heat' is that bad I might just have to stop at that level haha.

The AI jut cheats on those difficulty levels. They can somehow throw more grenades than they have arms for, X-Ray vision to know exactly when you're going to pop around a corner to 2 shot you, and the game likes to have something I call "Ghost grenade" syndrome, where if you toss a grenade at someone, then pop back behind cover, the grenade magically does no damage.

Lmao I love it. Sums up mile high club perfectly.

Both games were fairly challenging, but WaW was harder than MW, although that might have been because I was playing MW at the time. All Japanese levels on WaW can go to hell because they were the worst since you couldn't see a damn thing. Mile High Club is the hardest mission by far since you have only 1 min, and it feels like the longest minute with the cheap AI.

I actually found Heat to be easy compared to some of the other missions, though I admit I'm in the minority on that one. Who knows, you might get lucky.

Pro-tip for Heat: Run your ass off.

YOu can beat Heat, it's just very difficult and will require many restarts. Hit me up if you get stuck :)

On CoD4, I have trouble with the television station on veteran. I can't find a spot where I'm actually safe, there is always an enemy that has me in their line of sight.
