Agreed, I distinctly remember being stuck on this one checkpoint for a full hour of continuous trying, to say nothing else of the rest of the level. One Shot One Kill, Heat, the level just before All Ghillied up, and No Fighting in the War Room are insane. And that's ignoring Mile High Club. I feel proud though: I 1000'd Cod 4 twice (first account got hacked), the experience from the first time was invaluable for the second.miracleofsound said:Let me know which missions in COD4 you're having trouble with.Antlovesabi said:I must of tried every level on both games on veteran a good 20-30 times and there are still a fair few on each game that i can't get the achievement for. I do get bored with continuously losing easily but these games are close to impossible.
I finally beat the entire game on Veteran recently and it was one of the best feelings I've ever had as a gamer getting the Mile High Club Acheivement.
Beating that plane level is like learning a ballet dance, every move you make for the entire minute has to be perfectly timed and learned through trial and error. One mistake and you're fucked.
You have to get lucky with the AI too because your teammates are retarded and will block your route/not kill anything.
Oh, and FLASHBANGS!
I found No Fighting in the War Room to be the worst. Took me days.
More than once, meaning I died on the last two levels more than once.Kukakkau said:If that's the case how come you only unlocked the "Throw a Six and a Half" trophy AFTER you finished the campaign? Surely if you finished all but the last 2 levels without dying more than once you would have unlocked it after the first few levels?nathan-dts said:Finished both on Veteran the only two missions I died more than once on were the final two World at war levels.
On mile high club just see what works and what dosn't, know what your enemies are going to do and base your moves around it (probably took me about 12 tries, but I already knew what I was doing thanks to the magic of the internet)..start from easier difficulty and go up.Antlovesabi said:Wish i could complete both bloody games. That's bad that veteran difficulty put you off playing the game that defeats the fun aspect of the game.
EDIT: Mile high club mainly
I refuse to go back to W@W Veteran, it's just unfair. I get what you're saying about CoD4 though, the experience really did come together on Veteran.Druss the Slayer said:WaW=was so easy, once you let them lob all their nades. Unfortunately... that does seem to take rather a long time.
CoD4 was so amazing on veteran, i found the whole game much more immersive, especially the one where you carry your wounded sniper mate, then have to fend off several hundered gosh darn russians, for several gosh darn minutes, until the gosh darn heli comes. :') That was amazing. Even if it took me and hour and a half...
So you died exactly once for all the levels? Huh.. can you explain how Purple Heart (die 5 times at one checkpoint) is your 5th unlocked trophy in WaW then?nathan-dts said:More than once, meaning I died on the last two levels more than once.Kukakkau said:If that's the case how come you only unlocked the "Throw a Six and a Half" trophy AFTER you finished the campaign? Borrowed game from a friend and tried to counter a banzai attack but thought it was like dogs were you had to press at the exact time they stab you.Kukakkau said:So you died exactly once for all the levels? Yes yes, they are hard. I beat them both within a week.
Yet here we are, already over 70 posts into a thread that is only a couple of hours old...ansem1532 said:I don't see the discussion here.

Because unfortunately people seem to enjoy pissing on others' parades.Antlovesabi said:That's exactly what i thought. The idea of a forum to to discuss things between us and if someone doesn't like the topic then why bother read and/or post.

I was bored.
Was I belittling his thread?
A little, but to be honest, I'm just curious what the hell the discussion is.
As a said "..and the discussion is?"
