Now I know this helps pay for the site and keep everything running smoothly, but is it really necessary to tell me that Starcraft II is coming July 27 every time I play a video. I might understand if played every other video or even better, to help everyone out, play more than one bloody ad over and over again. I now have the Starcraft II trailer memorized. Thank you The Escapist!

I second this notion that mandatory pre-video ads before the start of EVERY video is starting to become a nuisance. Couldn't they do something along the same lines as Youtube where they have a timer and show ads before each video viewed after the timer expires.

Ex: An ad plays and is on a 15 minute timer. You can watch videos ad-free for 15 minutes after you view the first ad. After the 15 minutes expire, another ad airs at the start of the next video.

I can tell you that this would give me much more incentive to check out other video series that I haven't watched or to really support this site for anything other than the reason it gives me Zero Punctuation every week.

I understand bills have to be paid and they want to encourage people to subscribe but this is really hindering The Escapist's potential to gain a larger fan-base. I have actually sent links to people and by the 2nd or 3rd link I sent them, they're so sick of the ads that they don't care about the video.

Just some consideration.

Those Starcraft II ads were from, like, 7 months ago.

I haven't seen an ad on a video in quite a while, now.
