So, what video game characters do you have a crush on?

If I had to be perfectly honest, I'd say Toadette. I know she was only made originally as a female version of Toad, but Nintendo has added a personality that I can't help but like.

Also, she is my go to choice for games like Mario Kart. Love using her to beat arrogant gamers whom have yet to change.

That's mine! What's yours?

Get ready to be creeped out.

What can I say... Maybe it's those big red eyes, maybe it's the pony tail, but she's just frikkin' adorable.

quistis from Final Fantasy 8, i'd guess. I never had any actual strong feelings towards video game characters, but i did remember getting really mad at squall for ignoring her...

I mean, c'mon, hot blonde teacher with a whip who's got the hots for you...

'Get ready to be creeped out' should probably be an auto-tag in such a topic, just saiyan:

The French woman soldier, not the giant robot. Though it's okay if you're into that sort of thing as well.

Not a crush but I found this one while looking for the previous one, clearly based on the previous character but using the more familiar Elsa:

Emma Emmerich from Metal Gear Solid 2. I honestly wish she existed. Not sure if she'd date me, but hey. A guy can dream.

When she died, I was shocked. I was genuinely upset, wishing she would have lived.

Sylgja, the Nord miner at Shor's Stone in Skyrim, who will give it up for anyone who will deliver her mail. I was drawn immediately to the strong yet feminine curve of her jaw, and the way the candlelight played on her hair, and the adorable smudges of coal dust that bedecked her forehead and graceful neck.

We were wed in the old Nord way: I showed her my marriage badge and told her to step to it and she was all "yes whatever you say, hideous dark elf professional murderer now I will love you not as a quest-giver but as a woman."

I moved my beloved into my manor in Solitude, the grandest of houses in my many possessions. In spite of her obvious new wealth, the small army of retainers at her disposal (she seemed to like Lidia best, and who can blame her?) and her fabulous surroundings, the poor girl never quite got out of her blue collar mentality; I would garb her in finest silks and shower her with jewels, yet upon my return after each journey she would inevitably have donned her filthy mining togs and trusty pickaxe. She even spent her time opening a silly little shop out of my mansion to sell weak potions of healing and shovels.

"You know, my love," I would say, taking her by the shoulders. "I'm actually really rich. Like really really rich. I just killed a guy and the death cult I'm in charge of paid me like fifty pounds of money. The armor I'm wearing right now is worth more than this whole stinktown. Why won't you put on something nice and maybe take a bath and relax for a minute?"

"Welcome back, darling! Can I fetch you something to eat?" Was all she would ever reply. And of course my answer was no, because I ate like an entire mammoth on my way home.

Marriage: it's never quite what you expect.

Did you know if you go prone on top of her dead body you can make Otakon yell at you?

How could I not fall in love with the chick in Counterspell when I run Secret Mage?

"OH GOOD MIND CONTROL BELLEND! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Also see her sister Spellbender. She's pretty overshadowed by Counterspell though, sad really.

In more real terms of characters, I have a lot of them and i'd be here for hours listing them off so I have to say Michiru in Grisaia no Kaijitsu as #1. Never have a seen a character produce such hilarious scenes consistently making me laugh one after the next while also being sympathetic and tragic in her backstory.

Kagome from Comyu is up there too, it's the arrogant smirk on her face that does it. It's basically her default expression.

A thread where we can openly show our neckbeardiness? Count me in! Here are some of my crushes from over the years, oldest first:

I liked her cause she was different from the rest of the characters. Instead of being a tough commando type of thing, she was more of a cutie anime girl.

Still not entirely sure about the gender, though.

He's hot, nuff said. Especially the DMC4 version.

Good looking, laid-back, fun, and believable. I still don't get why they made a vengeful, slutty-looking ***** out of her in SRTT.

Hmm... what a fun and potentially very creepy thread. Let me add (in no particular order): Taki, Talim, Ivy, Sophitia, Xianghua (I enjoyed Soul Calibur 2), Chun Li, Cammy, Juri, Rosalina, Peach, Daisy, Tifa, Lara Croft, Zelda, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Misty, Jesse, all the female pokemon protagonists, Tharja, Lucina, Marth (until I made a discovery), Katherine, Catherine, Catherine the Great from Civ 5, Midna, Krystal, Rouge, Amy, Epona, and GlaDOS.

Mmm...objectification...

She was nice, but I preferred her mom (be ready to be creeped ou-oops, too late).

I like Ada Wong from Resident Evil 4; I could listen to that voice all day, and she was the true 'hero' of the story, as far as accomplishments are concerned.

Merrill from Dragon Age 2. Far and away my favorite character in the franchise, making me wish the writers at Bioware had done a better job on the characters in Inquisition.

She may be naive, but she's also sweet, adorable, has a very pleasant-sounding accent, and is also a practicing blood mage. What's not to like?

Hitomi from Dead or Alive 2.

What? I was in my teen and the game mag I always buy from had a free large poster of her or Tina in their bikini from their latest issue. It was love at first site!

And still after all these years it's still Garrus. Also somewhere down the line I started getting a crush on Girhahim. What the fuck is wrong with me? ;_;

Video game character crushes? Uh, well, there's a certain bastard prince from a certain BioWare game...

Yes, yes, I'm cliche as hell - but the dude's, like, a giant adorable teddy bear. In plate mail. With blood tainted by an unholy darkness. He's cute, okay?

Sera from Dragon Age Inquisition. Too bad even if she was real I wouldn't have a chance since I'm a guy lol. I dislike her unwillingness to think of the bigger picture but I can sort of understand why she doesn't and I really like her story. I don't know why, but I just really feel like I can identify with her. Eating cookies with her on random rooftops meant way more to me than the "lets go make out" stuff you could do with your romantic choice. It felt like that showed what relationships really are, not just passion and sex, but enjoying the simple things in life with someone you care about.

She's smart, sexy, strong willed, fearless and sometimes cute and flirty. Sure she's blue, has head-cartilage and has scales but it's those little flaws that keeps a guy interested :)

I wish the Mass Effect universe was real :p

Call me old fashioned, but Tifa from FF7 and Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring . Always tops in my book. Practically life changing.

Even in polygonal form she's appealing. Being busty didn't hurt either. I never was a huge fan of her AC look.

Some honorable mentions:
Mass Effect: Tali, Chambers, and Traynor... And Garrus. What can I say? Guy knows what a gal wants... armor piercing ammo! Zaheed is up there, too. Kinda saw him more as a father figure, though, so it wasn't really a crush, but I still really liked the guy. Awesome voice, awesome stories.

Fallout: Sharon Cassidy, Christine, and Veronica.

Star from Yie Ar Kung Fu. She's my first lady of fighting games, though you couldn't play as her. Don't know anything about her, it's kinda superficial, but I was mystified by her when she appeared and I kept wanting to fight her again.

Kasumi from Suikoden, the more I think about the topic.

That's about all that come to mind that wasn't really superficial. The list is long, and I don't remember them all.
