Zoey from L4D: Oh no, zombies killed god!
Eleanor Lamb from Bioshock 2: Because she's pretty much just a fantastic character in every way and the game did a good job making me care for her.
HK-47 from KOTOR 1 and 2: Not like, you know 'love' but he's an awesomely hilarious character.
SHODAN from System Shock 1 and 2: Again, I don't love her, but she's an exemplary villain.
Garrus Vakarian from Mass Effect 1 and 2: That voiiiiceeeeee *melts*

I hate Norton Mapes from Fear: Because he's an asshole.

It seems a lot of people like Garus, I would have liked him more in the second ME if the dialogue tree was a little bit longer, but, him and Tali would have to be my favorites from the game.

Love: Frank West, Chuck Greene, and Bayonetta. The first two are badass, while Bayonetta makes me laugh.

Hate: Pit. The only character to make me consistently lose at Smash Bros.

Love: The entire TF2 team. With some 3 minute movies and some in-game taunts, they manage to have more personality than some people do over the course of a 10+ hour game.

Luigi. As a younger brother, whose older brother seems to be the only person in the family people remember, and being constantly compared to him, I feel sympathetic to Luigi.

Samus. I don't care how people say Other M portrayed you, you'll always be a badass to me!

Slippy Toad. Why the hell do you suck so much?!

TK. Sorry, the evil TV host bit just isn't working. And the fight against you was a f***ing joke...

Raiden. So you are a pussy when we can play as you, but a badass when we can't? You were holding out on us! Rising may just redeem you in my eyes yet, though!

And while many people didn't like him, or rather them, I grew fond of the Claptraps from Borderlands.
Definitely put Alistair from Dragon Age on here as well.

Yeah I know Vommy is awesome! and I liked the claptraps they'r awesome too, but not as much as tommy.... or fido^^

Edwin Odeisseron from Baldur's Gate 1 & 2. You simians may refer to him simply as 'sir' if you prefer a less syllable intensive work out (is a paraphrased quote that he says in the second game).

He's basically an out and out narcissist, arrogant and angry - yet he has the skills and smarts to back it up. Generally if you don't get in his way or play too nice he tends to put the needs of the party first (even though he does have his little soliloquays where he plots your eventual murder).

I also love GLaDOS, Agent 47 and Sten from Dragon Age (but they've already been done).

As for who I hate; Shogo Akuji from Saint's Row 2, Arl Howe and the main villain from Bioshock (I won't spoil why, play these games!

But I reserve a special hatred for another Baldur's Gate character - Anomen. He is Edwin's almost exact opposite, self obsessed but at the same time stupid and selfish, virtually useless in a fight (what are you a healer or a fighter because you're shit a both, Anomen). His back story does a good job trying to make you care about him and then he opens his stupid mouth again and you just want to shut it for him (or give him a good backstab, I always play thieves).

All this could be explained away if he didn't think he was a good guy. He claims to be trying to help people, but in actuality he's Lawful Neutral and more involved in his career than heroics. The hypocrisy of this always makes me really mad. Plus his first act is trying to start a fight with you (real smart move. If you're on your own in a fantasy universe, you just don't square off against a seven foot giant that's having a chat with his hamster, a homicidal dwarf, an obvious mage and three rogues working their way into backstab positions. Your chances of survival are 0.0001% 0.000000001% if you're a cleric, like Anomen is).

Hate. So. Much!

But God bless Baldur's Gate for making me feel so strongly for two characters. It's an awesome game.
