I remember remembering the first video game credits that I still technically remember to this day:
I didn't start re-reminding myself about that until after watching the credits to Out There Somewhere, but it did get me thinking about other video game credits... thus lead to this thread, basically...

Are there any other memorable video game credits? Or, at least, video game credits that are worth "watching" through?

WarCraft III credits were pretty cool. Instead of a traditional list of names rolling from bottom to the top, you get a short in-game engine recreation of WarCraft II intro, a rock concert and a match of that american handegg game, what was it called... ah yes, Bloodbowl!

I usually watch the credits anyway, just because on occasion there is something that comes up after, like in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

In terms of fun or memorable credits. I suppose Wasteland 2 comes to mind just because Miracle of Sound actually got to do the credit song for that.

I usually watch the credits to a Koei Warriors game the first time through. Usually there is interesting music and some sort of thing to watch. Nothing amazing, but enough to keep me there the first time. (Not the 100 times after, but the first)

White text on black background though...skip. Have fun with it. Beating New Vegas with Wild Wasteland perk on makes the credits silly.

Seconded. And seconded. Although that reminds me about heroic act of watching entire GTA IV credits.
It wasn't worth it.

I did like the song that played through the end credits of the first Mass Effect. Also the end credits for the first Bayonetta game were a mini level.

Resident Evil 4 is excellent.

And a more recent one is Until Dawn, where...

...you get a police report with the surviving teens, and they're all fucked up and traumatized. Except for Emily obviously.

Just putting a spoiler tag on that, since I wasn't expecting it at the time, and it was a great little surprise.

Dragon Age II had a Florence + The Machine track playing over it, which was pretty sweet. I will say I particularly enjoyed watching the Deus Ex: Human Revolution credits, simply because it featured a variety of photos from the developers.

Devil May Cry 3 was kind of cool because you got to keep beating up demons alongside Lady, true to the style of the game. You also got a reward for not getting hit.
Yassss, came here to answer this. Rarely have I felt so in tune with a main character as in that one line: "I'm absolutely crazy about it!" >:) "Phew, that was some ride huh?" The game said. "Now what better way to top all that arsekicking off than... More arsekicking!!! >:D There's a secret ending in it for you if you can rack up 100 kills before this song is out... >:3" Ahhh for a game to understand its own audience so well, 'tis a thing of beauty indeed.

( But yeah, small correction: as far as I know 100 kills is the only requirement and getting hit, though disadvantageous, doesn't matter. The 100th one is a mini-boss too because hey, why not? >:) )

Also this ending:

This was a triumph.

You're now reading this

Punch-Out Wii made a game out of it like SSBM where some of the credits were incorrect (the names of the enemy boxers instead of the staff) and you would punch the names until they became correct, while you would lose points for punching an actual staff member name: 'Eat fist Super Macho Man, you didn't work on this game, you just had a bogus appearance in it!'.

Sort of like the fake-out in Kid Icarus Uprising or the 'Kredits' in Donkey Kong Country except it is the actual end of the game... until Title Defence Mode, mwahaha.

GTA V credits caused me to ignore the credits of the next few games I've completed. ...

For those who haven't played the game, it got Greg Proops from "Whose Line is it Anyway" and John DiMaggio (Bender from Futurama) as the commentator of the game levels. The ending credit is basically those two doing the whole Mystery Science Theater 3000 on the credit names.

Splatoon's is very cute. You shoot ink at the screen to reveal silly/cute pictures and concept art. They aren't super long either, which is nice.

All the Fire Emblem games tell a little story of each unit's life after the events of the game during the credits. Needless to say, I usually didn't see any of them since I was preoccupied with the info. I always appreciate being given something to do or read during credits.

I haven't played a new Ubisoft game in a few years, but are their credits still like 20 minutes long? That was never fun to sit through, especially when they would include people who probably never even touched the game development. I'm pretty sure they would even include the caterers for some reason.

"Rayman Legends" has Rayman[footnote]Or whatever character you were using when you finished the level[/footnote] walking about on heavenly clouds while the credits rise up, each letter being encased in ice like the ice levels from "Rayman Origins". You can jump on them, slide across them etc., and if you break them you get lums. Plus all the Os are replaced by smiley faces which is very nice.

Oh yes and the "Portal" games for obvious reasons.

Shadow of the Colossus ends with credits over an ending. The 3D Zelda games are like that too.

Devil May Cry 3 was kind of cool because you got to keep beating up demons alongside Lady, true to the style of the game. You also got a reward for not getting hit.

I'd like to see fewer end credits in games, though. Sometimes I just want a moment of silence. They seem vain in an interactive medium. They would make more sense in the menu, where you can pause or scroll through them on your own.
Speaking of DMC, Bayonetta 1 & 2 did the same thing, except you were actually ranked. This was at it's worse in the first Bayonetta after coming from a long boss fight; especially on the hardest difficulty. 2 was a bit better about it, but Platinum doing it again did agitate me. At least the music is kick ass.

My personal favorite credits are Streets of Rage, Viewtiful Joe, DMC1 (the music is tear-jerking in the 2nd half), and Sonic Adventure 2.
