Insomniac, the Ratchet and Clank and Resistance series are phenomenal.

And OF COURSE I can't forget the fighters made by ARC System Works.

Atlus?? ATLUS?????!!!!

I've yet to play a GOOD game by Atlus...

Now, I'm being unfair, I really haven't played enough games by them, but the few DS titles I've played have been, fairly awful.
Hmm, really? I haven't played too many DS ones from them so maybe that's why. But I have played:
-Snowboard Kids 1 and 2
-Trauma Center (1 and 2)
-TONS of Shin Megami Tensei games, all of which are awesome
-Demon's Souls
-3D Dot Game Heroes

To be completely fair, though, the last two were published by Atlus and developed by From Software. Still, all those were pretty good, especially Persona 3, which is my favorite game ever made. So, I'm mildly biased. :p

Bioware. Oh wait, there was that *$^@ing awful Sonic game, wasn't there?
*repressing memories*
It was just made for kids. I played through it, and it wasn't BAD, it just wasn't up to BioWare's usual standards. In fact, it would have been an incredibly solid RPG if they just increased the difficulty a bit.

I haven't played many Bioware games, but I don't think they've ever made a bad game. And Bethesda haven't, although they have only made about five games ever.

That's only counting games developed by Bethesda though; some of their published games were, well, Rogue Warrior...

In the beta you had one building, no others you could build and the ability to build three units. I am going to cry you a river. Im going to cry you an ocean. I dont know what i played but it wasnt dawn of war. Please tell me the full package is more like the originals. I loved all the previous ones.

OT. Valve. Why all the L4D2 hate? Its an ok game, some new interesting campaigns and features/weapons. Not as good as number one but pretty good.
its not about base building, but online you upgrade your base to get access to new units, the single player is a bit closer to a dungeon crawler then a traditional rts game and there is another online mode called last stand that is a blast, you choose one of 5 heroes and face off against waves and waves of enemies, just youtube it or something

I'd say VALVe, but Left 4 Dead wasn't all that much fun on the long run, although it's far from bad. Soooo, VALVe.

I would also say Insomniac games, but Resistance wasn't all that much fun.

Much as I hate to agree with everyone else, Valve. I've certainly not disliked any of their games, even if I wan't madly in love with Half Life 1. (And, admittedly, haven't played Left 4 dead 2. But the first one was awesome)

I'm gonna say Bioware. I have yet to play a Bioware game that wasn't amazingly detailed in its game world and characters. I still have a few left to play but I doubt they will prove me wrong.

I'm gonna call you on that and assume you haven't played the old-school games from the 90's and below, and raise you with a game called "Turok" ;)

And I'm gonna have to say Insomniac for not making a single "bad" game.
Well I haven't played Turok I have opnly played mostly MEgaman games and DMC and Res Evil so I can only talk about the ones I've played.

I agree with this. I like their RTS games more than Blizzards.

id software. They aren't necessarily my favourite, but none of their games are bad and nearly all of them are groundbreaking.

For me, well there's a lot. BioWare, haven't played all of their games, which isn't a lot, but I have played several of their games and found them all fantastic.

Many would say Valve, I suppose, sadly, I have only played Left 4 Dead, *holds up flame shield*, which I thought had the best multiplayer in any game.

I'm tempted to say Rockstar, but I'm sure many would disagree. But c'mon! Rockstar popularized the open-world genre and is currently the best at that. Uh, or not? I love their games! Well, except for Manhunt, that one freaks me out.
I totally agree, first GTA now Red Dead Redemption also Valve
