Having gammed for over two decades now, I have had my blood pressure go off the charts and more than a few game controllers, keyboards & mice, and headsets have been sacrificed in the name of not busting things in my parents and currently my house. Now i want to read about your most memorable nerd rage, what game you where playing and why.

That also works, pretty much anything that makes you rage about video games is fair game. I dose not have to involve the breaking of things, It's more about invoking a major swing in your mood, wether it be rage or whatever, for me and i suppose alot of others rage seems to be fairly common and knowing people that fly of the handle such as myself, seeing (or reading) it as a by stander I find it all to ammusing, even though I am well aware that i look just a foolish when i do it. As an example i watched my best friend rip Madden 95 out of his still running SNES and beat it into a million pieces with a hammer because he was convinced that it was cheating... laughed so hard i thought he would turn the hammer on me.

Well, my heart-rate goes up noticeably (in that, i can actually feel my heart thumping like crazy) when i play online shooters, but breaking something? nah, too expensive.

I don't actually get nerd rages. When i die I say oh well. Then re-spawn and blow up the next player in my way.

My beanbag chair exploded when I jumped out of it and landed back on it whilst on one of the challenges of the gods in GOW. Probably the only time I've broken something gaming.

After about a year of minor beatings to one controller after it started the typical 360 overused controller glitching, I finally decided to beat it to death. The result ended up with the analog stick that was already glitches stuck in the down position. You can?t get the analog stick to move at all. Additionally the one trigger is stuck and can?t pull in and part of the plastic casing is broken clean off and as a result the left vibration motor is out of place.

Beat the poor controller against my hard wooden bed for over a minute.

All this said, for me the typical XBOX 360 only lasts about 9 months before developing really bad analog ghosting. The one i destroyed also was using a rechargeable battery and wire to connect to the XBOX for recharge. The battery only had about a hour life at max charge due to the overuse. The Cable had such a bad short that ANY movement would cause a disconnect. The controller itself was a white wireless.

The replacement is Black which annoys me a lot since my XBOX360 is still the older white model.

Direct Abuse aside it really annoys me how little quality current Generation XBOX controllers are. I?ve had to replace them at least once each year since the first one i got that came with me original XBOX.

I once punched the solid wood chair next to me because I was frustrated out of my mind I'm not even sure what game it was now and it bruised 3 of my knuckles and it hurt like fuck.I then had to pretend that I had done it at kung fu so my parents wouldn't rage at me.The silver lining is I only broke myself instead of something expensive.

I don't rage when playing games. If I start losing a whole lot, I just stop playing and do something else. Usually the best plan, since when I come back later, I'm able to beat whatever was causing me trouble.

I have, however, destroyed my old 360 when it got the red ring the week I got it back from repair for it red-ringing before though.

Boy, was I pissed that day...

I crushed my controller between my hands because of Jinpachi Mishima.

I ripped out my own hair in frustration at Ninja Gaiden II.

I beat my head against my controller fighting Seth in Street Fighter IV.

Not giving a very positive image of myself, am I?
