What items in video games would really be helpful to people in the real world? They could be vehicles, food items, medical items, machines, etc.

I think the Medi-gun from Team Fortress 2 would really be helpful for people. I mean it can instantly repair broken bones and heal injuries in a few moments!

The Heavy's sandvich from Team Fortress 2. It would revolutionize the medical field, as it can heal any wound with a single bite. It would also eradicate world hunger with its peculiar hammerspace [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammerspace] properties. You can eat a sandvich indefinitely at full health, or simply wait thirty seconds to get a new one if you aren't (by which point you're at full health again, meaning more infinite sandvich).

They're getting there man, trust me.

Hmm, along the same lines, I'd say medigel. Essentially a gel that stops infection and bleeding, which is resilient enough to move with it and not break and can be removed with ultrasound.

Maybe some kind of element or material that behaves like element zero (gravity manipulation). We could do so much shit with that.

Any gadget Batman has in Arkham Asylum would be sort of useful in real life. Or at least really cool.

The Gravity Gun [http://a.tgcdn.net/images/products/zoom/f35a_half_life2_gravity_gun_on.jpg] from Half-Life 2 would be an invaluable tool in disaster relief and rescue operations.

...And if we each had a Rocket Jumper [http://i.imgur.com/BAtYLV4.png], an Equalizer [http://i.imgur.com/O2sXnsw.png] and a pair of Gunboats [http://i.imgur.com/ynlGR2k.png], we would be kings among men!

The health potion from every RPG ever made.

Cancer? Health potion. Broken bones? Health potion. Major Depressive Disorder? Health potion. It could cure everything.

Also the anti poison potions too. For the things that health potion doesn't cover.

Hmm, I'd go with the magical defibrillators from the Battlefield series.
Got a tank shell lodged in your head? Give 'em the fibs.
Someone slashed your jugular? Give 'em the fibs.
Run over by an APC after falling 100 stories? Give 'em the fibs.

A bottled fairy as life insurance, the moment you die, it revives you as healthy as you can be. Pretty much any item that revives you, but the fairy works automatically without having another person use the item on you.

Speaking of Zelda, having the Ocarina of Time would be pretty awesome. You can jump forward and backward in time, slow down time, summon rain, play lullabies, heal, call your horse if you have one, turn anguished spirits into masks. You know, important stuff. :D

Pokemon has bigger-on-the-inside technology and teleportation technology that can transfer living creatures housed in a small sphere instantly and, safely from just about any point in the country to a fixed point.

Phoenix Down would be awesome to have too...take THAT mortality.

Could you travel through time with the ocarina? I thought you could only travel through time by pulling/sticking the master sword into/out of the stone.

Escape ropes from Pokemon.

Stuck in a cave in a remote place? Escape rope.
Stranded at sea with prospects of survival looking low? Escape rope.
Kidnapped by some terrorist organization or criminals? Escape rope.
Worried about the safety of your kids/loved ones? Give them an escape rope.

And so on.

You still could time travel without the Master Sword. In Majora's Mask for example, Link does all his time travel via th Ocarina of Time without any help from the Master Sword. Plus, in both games with the ocarina, Link can skip days by bringing nighttime/daytime at will.

I'm just gonna take a simple one here: Water.

But not just any water. Fallout water.

I may be riddled with bullets and near death, but a few bottles of water and I'm good as new. Hell, if it's purified water, I don't even need to worry about trading a bit of radiation for health.

Water's fucking amazing.

A D&D style bag of holding would be super useful! You could put an entire closet's worth of random junk in it and it would just take up about the space of a dufflebag.
