I'll give you a list;
1. Spore. Far more shallow than it was made out to be. It was just a space simulator with a really long prolouge.
2. Borderlands. The online wasn't any good. Without voice chat I was unable to make any coherent strategy or figure out who got the weapons.
3. City of Heroes. It was too empty. The buildings were boxy and the missions were the same thing a hundred times over.
4. Manhunt. With the praise it got from all my friends I was expecting something great, but I found that the character was too slow and death to quick.
5. Prototype. It may just be my copy of it, but the cutscenes were glitchy as hell and without the storyline it was just long and boring.

Im going to say it because no one else probably will Guitar Hero 3. It was just a complete step back from 2 maybe even 1.

The mercenaries games....They weren't THAT horrible, but the commercial had such a catchy tune I just had to try it...The vehicles controlled horribly, gameplay was boring and all I ever did was use the same gun to kill everything before I got bored and never even bothered finishing it.

Borderlands. I'm serious. And stop looking at me like that : /
You think you're being controversial?

I choose Portal. The only part I really found funny was Still Alive, and I found the puzzles ridiculously easy. A very unique and greatly presented game, yet at the end I couldn't help but feel quite dissapointed.
I respect your opinion sir, and I yield to your controversy. If portal had a wang, I'd felate it.

What a piece of shit.

After they perfected the arts of videogame combat and platforming in the SOT trilogy, Ubisoft must have had a board meeting a little like this:

'ok enough of that fun stuff, let's give gamers castrated platforming with overlong, QTE filled, frustrating boss battles!'

'But boss, that doesn't sound annoying enough.... we want to really piss fans off'

'Ok... let's make them fight each boss 5 TIMES!'

'Bon!'
So, am I a terrible person for liking the combat? It took a bit of getting used to, but I never found them frustrating...

Can't believe no one said BRAWL, the most flawed and terribly designed game ever made! It's like the developers have never played a game before!

Seriously! Who thought throwing in random tripping and no combo's is a good idea in a fighting game? And even without the advanced techniques it's still unbalanced. Most of the new moves look dodgy and dumb and some of the super moves are crap compared to the others.

I could go on forever!

Also Tiberium Wars sucked ass! All they had to do is improve on everything that was done so well in RA2 and Generals, but they went backwards and screwed everything up. I'll never forgive EA for that.

Devil May Cry 4 was awful as well as Grand Theft Auto 4. Their predecessors had the perfect formulas and the 4's fuck it up by either messing with the formula or just throwing it away.

Nope, you're just a person with different taste in combat to me.

I must agree with you there, I loved it at first then I hit the wall with the warrior guy you have to shove off the ledge. I never was able to beat him. I'd get laughably close and then POW he'd break and I'd have to start over. Had it not been for him, I would have beaten the game already

if anyone out there knows the trick to button mashing to beat the warrior please tell me
T^T [sub] I wanted to beat that game[/sub]
There's no trick, you just have to nail those stupid QTEs that pop up in the blink of an eye.

Seriously bad game design.

Oh, and you have to fight him 4 more times after that.

Ugh, I know. I went to all the stages I could and see if any were any easier. No. I failed each time. I mean I can button mash that x button until I wear a groove into it, but I swear, he puts all his weight on me, I get just a hair short of pushing him over, and then it's like the game says "fuck it" and he just stomps on me.
I need a cheat code

KOTOR has dissapointed me so far, but that's probably because I have it on 360. Because it's old, all dialogue is stuttered, and so far it's been too immersion-breaking for me to really get into it. Which sucks, because I hear it's awesome.

Phantom Hourglass. Fun, just not when you're in the main temple going through the same puzzles for the 4th time.
This honestly made me stop playing the game.

Spore was my biggest letdown in the last few years. I was used to Lionhead making "promises" so figured everything Molyneux was spouting was liquid bullshit, and it more or less was. As a result was not let down by Fable 2, as I had no expectations for it.

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts was disappointing to me because of the lack of platforming that made it's N64 predecessors so great. As a depressing minus to things other than game play, it was not funny like the first two.

I suppose that would be bioshock.

A friend of mine who likes all the same games as I do said it's his favourite game of all time.
So I thought it must be good then. It turned out to be at most OK. With the esception of the first time using plasmids I never thought to myself "man this is a great game" Tons of times I thought "I am so fucking sick of getting sidetracked".

Jak 3, followed by Sly 3. I got these games very recently, after immensely enjoying the previous games in the series when they were originally released.

They weren't as good, but still leagues better than most stuff this gen.
come now, though it was probably the weakest of the trilogy (gonna gracefully ignore the other "j&d" releases), jak 3 was still a great game.
I never said it wasn't. I believe that Jak 3 and Sly 3 are good games, but after following the grandeur of their predecessors, they don't hold up as well. Jak 3 was shorter, half of it was shitty race levels, the story went to hell, and most of the great locales from Jak 2 were either never mentioned, or shown for a very short amount of time.

As for Sly 3; it was the Sonic Heroes of the series. Think about it.

? Spore. It's been well covered here, I think.
? Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I'm not big on Star Wars. I'm just not, but pretty much every gaming friend I have told me I'd love playing it anyway. I didn't enjoy it one bit (but that's on me for believing them).
? Mirror's Edge. "What, that's all there is?" The time trials were pretty fun, though.
? Deus Ex: Invisible War. It just felt so? limiting, which is the antithesis of how I felt playing the first one.
