Such a fun song. I mean, I can't play Makoto to save my life, but I WANT to be able to play her just so I could kick ass to her theme song.

All the Persona 4 Arena songs count too.

This song has a soothing quality that puts me at ease.


I've only just recently stumbled upon this song, so I have yet to test its ability to dispel a foul mood. Still, I think this song will be a go-to song for me to listen to/play should I find myself in a foul mood in the future.

Good taste man, I listen to those same songs but for me, around 3 songs get me out of a depression


These songs are high tempo, with memorable rhythms and are tied to great games

By the way, Is it just me or is there a trend that i'm noticing, a significant portion, around 25-50%, of these songs are from Japanese games?

I think Yahtzee had said something about game musics being bland and that forum had people bringing out a log of example from Japan, not as much as American games but a significant amount. Is this true or am I letting bias get in the way?

The entire Last of Us Soundtrack has a great bitter-sweet feel to it. As if looking at a beatiful sunset over a ruined city.

Also, the first Witcher's soundtrack is quite soothing and has a slavonic feel to it.

"Exile Vilify" from Portal 2 is very inspiring.

Also, the song from Brayko boss fight from Alpha Protocol always bring a smile to my face. The fight was so ridiculous and fun it's hard not to feel the mood lighten up.
