Hi all,

This sight may be more familiar to UK escapists than others: A penguin classics book. With its black strip on the bottom and its conservative and reverent font it is the very epitome of artful acheivement. On my shelf sits a copy of Frankenstein and Jane Eyre. I've never read them, of course, because I'd rather be gaming, but damn me if they don't look classy.

If you don't know what I'm taking about: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=penguin+classics

SO I have decided that there must be some games which deserve the Classics treatment and have made a few of my own. I have seen this done elsewhere on the interwebs, but never particularly well or with a large numer of games. My plan is to create at least 50 Classics.

I also want to highlight the importance of Directors to the video game world. While doing initial research I discovered that Nobuya Nakazato directed Contra 3, Symphony of the Night and Vandal Hearts.

I am looking for suggestions on three things:
Games that you believe deserve to be 'classics'
Images that you think sum up the game simply
Game directors that you think deserve props and have not got them

Please see below for a few examples of my work so far:

I was thinking of making a thread asking how we can preserve classics, but this idea is better.
I'm not sure if Penguin would be interested though, and there may be loads of laws to bypass before it being allowed, but here's my suggestions.

Personally I feel that every Zelda game should come in one big collection, since deciding between the ones I've played is really hard. But here's an image I like...
I don't know how to put up images -.- if anyone could explain that to me it would make my life much easier. Kthx

I have a feeling that Penguin might probably sniff at the plebian I am and walk away.

That's why the internet is ours, brothers and sisters, to make our own rules! *manic laughter fading away*

Now, to put images in, and I don't know why no-one ever explains this, use an image source tag and put the URL in double quotes:

I've had to break it, so that it could be shown, so when you make yours for your post, remove the spaces between

Preview it to check it's worked then, bongo, you're posting images!
