Recently, the first thing that comes to mind is 'The Stranger' in The Walking Dead game.

I won't spoil anything for anyone, but damn, I wanted to hunt that bastard down, even if it meant walking through a horde of walkers to do it.
yea, that guy made me pretty upset. I choked him out as soon as I could. I didn't steal his food though. :p

I didn't find Handsome jack made me angry, the guy was trying way too hard.

Now the kid who stole my rabbit and hit me with a sword in crestfallen studios the way, that guy!

Usually I don't get angry at the villain, just coldly determined to destroy them, which is a good thing if the options available;

Those sorts include Karras from thief 2, the scientist experimenting on people in dishonoured, a few characters in the Witcher 2, including that pompous king, oh and the Tarent merchants guild in Arcanum, especially so since that whole x-files-esk case.
Fucking Henselt. I know that

Hanging the Blue Stripes made sense for him. They were spies, after all. But they were my friends. Roche was my friend. Deciding to let Vernon cut his throat was the easiest decision I made in that game.

I felt like just about every character onscreen in FF13 was an antagonist that I couldn't stand. Some were boring, some were extremely creepy, all were unbearable.

Handsome Jack is going to die.
And in the first post my answer is already laid out for me. Jack started off as being extremely amusing, to then kind of a dick, to the biggest rage-inducer ever. He's such a satisfying villian, in that he can be simultaneously likeable, understandable, and also someone you can truly despise. I love how towards the game he becomes even more sinister, and the rage keeps building (like with those echo's you mentioned).

Apart from him, I really despised the final boss in Alice: Madness Returns. Other than the actual villain being so blindingly obvious by the half-way point in the game, it's so disturbing and messed up that I was practically shouting at Alice to kill them.

Other than that all I can think of as a worthy villain is Vaas from Far Cry 3, but for some reason I don't want to see him killed. He's strangely likeable and exciting, but at the same time he's messed up. Perhaps he's like the Joker - a villain you loathe, but never want to see disappear because of it. He completes you.

Kai Lang from Mass Effect 3 made me angry because of how stupid, unnecessary, and overplayed his presence in the game was. Also, his plot armor. 'Goddammit, climb faster, Shepard, you lumbering idiot!'

Kefka.. He was a fucking asshole. Destroys the world, kills your friends and laughs about it. And then of course he becomes god. What a dick.
I agree, I remember grinding away just so I could stomp his ass badly. It's not a villan ,but I wish there was a button in LOZ where you could grab Navi and stomp the life out of it.

Don't forget:

What he did to Ves and just generally being a pompous ass, particularly when you confront him before making the choice to kill him.

Funny enough, he was much more likable in Iorveth's path when you fought in the war AGAINST him.

Whoever the first bad guy that hung your family in Assassin's Creed 2 (I can't remember his name) and the assassin's who kills you're son in Revelations.
Those backstabs REALLY got to me.

Anybody remember Fable 2?

Reaver.

That son of a ***** betrayed me more times than should ever be allowed in a game where I can't kill plot-related NPCs.
He killed the photograph guy, sent me on a fool's errand to steal my youth, sold me out to the main bad guy, and while said villain was giving his final monologue,
HE STOLE MY GODDAMN KILL!
Anyway, the writing in that game was bad all-around. Besides, you can't stay mad at Stephen Fry.

I gotta go with Handsome Jack as well, and as much as he royally pissed me off after that I think he's a great villain.

I was shocked when that scene played out and then I wanted to kill him after...

...he enslaved Lilith since that was my character and I didn't want him to mess with her. It was bad enough he killed Bloodwing and what he did to Angel, but fuck that guy after what he did to Lilith and to Roland.

I just wrote him off as amusing and interesting, but not after that.

Hmm. If its Phoenix Wright villain, my choice is the defendant from the last chapter of Justice for All.

Really need to play Trials and Tribulations again. Forgot most of the story.

I'd say Handsome Jack, but the moments passed rather quickly. He'd do something horrid, but then for the next few hours he'd be doing something hilarious, so I couldn't hate him for too long.

Vass in Far Cry 3 is a great villain, but I wish he had more screen time. I haven't got terribly far into Far Cry (har) yet to give a definite answer on him, but I enjoy every scene he's in. He doesn;t make me angry as such, just more that he's so unpredictable.

Oh, that one girl from BioShock 2--

In BioShock 2, Sofia Lamb was an antagonist I didn't really like at the start of the game. She gave the impression of a know-it-all overprotective soccer mom. During the course of the game, my opinion of her went from "What a *****" to "I am going to find that wench and jam this drill so deep down that motormouthing throat of hers and I won't stop drilling until I find oil"

She reaaaaaelly got under my skin with that rotten voice of hers.
Nuts. Um...okay, how about--

The main villian in Spec Ops: The Line.
Gah! You people need to stop taking mine! Still, the Spec Ops villain was a bit of a shock when I finally understood who all my rage was really going toward.

Okay, let me think...thinking...thinking...Got it! Menedez from Black Ops II, and to a lesser extent the 'one guy who helps him on the Obama ship'. I wanted to kill both those men. Menedez for what he did to Hudson, and the other guy because GOD DAMMIT I TRUSTED YOU! But no, I had to let them both live in order to save the entire world. Grr...
Also pretty much every girl you ever meet in the Dead Space games. Ellie's an exception at the moment, though I haven't played Dead Space 3 yet.

The Prophet of Truth from Halo 2 and Halo 3.

*Spoilers*
He was the shadowy manipulator behind the Covenant, the reason they were at war with the humans was because he discovered some information that would threaten his position as a religious leader. This is the same reason he helpfully allowed the other two Prophets to die and then in the ultimate low blow ordered the genocide of the Sangheili to be replaced by the Brutes.

I gotta say it's pretty satisfying to see him get killed by the Arbiter, the supposed 'vanguard of the great journey' right as all his followers have been massacred and his 'great journey' has been stopped.

Man I could watch this all day:

Menedez was really annoying since our characters had so many chances of killing him and yet they just let him live. I get that they would do that the first or second time but shit, its like four or five times. And hell after the part where he does that to Hudson they should have just...

...shoot both his legs off just like he did to almost everyone, it seemed to work in making sure that those guys wouldnt do anything usefull for the rest of their lifes

Yeah, I couldn't think of a single bad guy to really piss me off until you mentioned this. But to be more specific, what pissed me off about Kai Lang wasn't him personally, but similar to why you sounded like you couldn't stand from him. I mean the Illusive man spent billions to bring Shep back to life because he's supposedly this great soldier, and in ME3 what does he hire that he thinks can >Shep? A fucking Ninja!

Like...

OoOoOoOoO, but it's a Ninja, and he probably knows ninjitsu, and he has a sword... us and our 23th century lasers, singularity weapons, cyborgs, and biotecs powers are all done for! It's the old trope that just because some guy might be into karate, he can kick anyone's ass and possibly has super human prowess; and it's something that's become a bit of a pet peeve of mine seeing in movies or video games.

I can't tell you how annoying it was to see this dumbass rushing at me.... with a freakin' sword! ready to one-hit kill me while I pumped round after round into his stupid Ninja face with my Krogan shotgun. Bioware, grow the fuck up! lol

The one that comes to mind is Jack of blades from Fable:the lost chapters, I remember during the boss fights with him, he would be taunting you, during the fights themselves Im only ever thinking off killing him, but after im done with the fights I look back and think "why arn't there more villians that fill the role this well", the villians in Fable 2&3 left me really disapointed, now there are no xbox exclusives left that I care about.

Sadly, most of the characters were the same in that respect. The daughter whines at you through a pair of plumbs, then there is Sinclair's ridiculous Good old boy accent. Everyone got on my nerves, and it was the single most frustrating thing in the entire game (I pretty much liked everything else, despite the usual complaints from everyone else).

And OT:

Finally beating up the Penguin in Arkham City is a delight. That fucker really busts your balls, and spends the whole time sneering at you about it. As it happens, even he's got a ridiculous accent as well. Once you get him on his own...
