Dont know if anybody mentioned this yet but, I dont see any weapon as really useless. The harder it is to kill someone with it, the more humiliating the kill is. Just like killing someone with a knife in cs.

Half of the Melee weapons in Left 4 Dead 2... why would you take a Frying Pan or a Police Baton when you can have a Katana?
Not to burst your bubble, but all the melee weapons in l4d2 are basically reskins and do the same damage. Thus, the police baton is the best since it swings the quickest.

Back on topic....I cannot think of much, as I was going to say the mirv.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're wrong the difference between using the baton and katana are pretty obvious. I dare you to pick a baton over a katana when the horde comes and you're running for your life.

I didn't find a use for anything other that the sword, hidden blade(s), gun, smoke bombs, maybe the throwing knives, and your own fists in Assassin's Creed 2. Mainly because you have so many weapons that you have to go into a sub menu to select them. Seriously, your an assassin, why wouldn't you choose the sword over the hammer?

However, here's a recipe for some fun: use the poison blade on someone and then throw coins around him, then all the people will run in to get hit, it cracked me up. XD
Because the blunt force kills are enjoyable to watch?
They don't die, they just get knocked around. Which is odd when said enemy has a sword...

the taunter fom ratchet and clank as it was only useful against one enemy and then utterly useless against eveything else

I can't believe no one has mentioned it but
The klobb from goldeneye.

with the exception of an excuse to yell "IT'S KLOBBER'N TIME" during multiplayer.
It's no joke- the psychological impact of getting beaten by someone who got you with the klobb could be too shamefully scarring to bear. As the pic says- even dual wielding can't save it. Only LTK can make it half decent.

American armoured cars in Company of Heroes. Sure, their mine laying ability can be useful very rarely, but usually I have enough time to just use engineers anyway. If I need some back-up for my troops or scout, I'll grab a halftrack and maybe stick a quad cal on it. If I need to go up against other vehicles, I'll go Shermans and Tank Destroyers. Even against the German armoured car it's useless, the Germans' has a strong armour-piercing cannon while the American version doesn't.

.357 Magnum in Fallout: NV is a pet peeve.

Also, basically EVERY gun in Bioshock. I mean, didn't everyone else pretty much only use the splice that let you freeze them and smash them with the wrench?

The LMG's in COD4 - Mostly because the only conceivable use is spraying in MP and annoying the hell out of everyone.

Scissors from Dead Rising 2. They were fun to stick in a zombie's face but they usually appeared next to something MUCH more useful, like a fire ax or a gun, or a potted plant.

The plasma pistol in every Halo until Reach. Unless you coupled it with a human weapon it was absolutely useless. In Reach it is not quite a death wish, only close to it.
You weren't using it properly. A charged shot instantly kills shields and armor. (Charge shot + Melee is a lethal combo)
It also stalls vehicles engines, allowing you to destroy/hijack them.

Sorry if i've been ninja'd, but Unlaboured Flawlessness in ninja gaiden. Hours upon hours of gathering currency, getting a sliver away from death farming a corridor of deadly but profitable monsters, only to get a weapon that does high damage if you're near death. Utterly crushed by that effort-reward ratio. Still, what did i expect from the gaming equivalent of fighting a lion with nothing but a spoon?

The new demoman's boomstick thingy. It either kills you or put your HP down to 75 and is a melee weapon

#4) Poison stab (Assassins Creed 2) This had no purpose for anything other than giggles (or ad least i could not find one) it made enemies take out there swords and start waving them around.

Anyways thats what i could think of. What about you?
You are wrong. There's a clear intention to the poison stab and i frequently used it... Although you may have miss the point. It's a stealth tool. Your mission as a assassin is to kill without being seen and that's where it shine. First off, you can kill your mark without being near (not the story one otherwise you are teleported back to him) but you can also make that a diversion to enter place without notice. When you have a moderate to low wanted level, you can actually poison's a neighboring guard and while everyone look at him, you can slip in to (for example) steal a codex page. It's very useful but you got to know how to use it. On the other hand, the money throwing trick is worse and it doesn't really affect guard.

Back on track: The Pistol in any Medal of Honor game. You always meet people with different gun and the very first one you kill, you'll always gonna steal his gun in throw your pistol aways.
Dude, i don't know about you though i got by just fine without it and using it would've probably made the game even more easier, nobody really posed a threat and when i received the gun
Wait! What are you talking about? The poison blade or the pistol?
the missions became absolutely trivial because the thing had PERFECT accuracy (When aimed for a second, though there was never a reason not to due to the fact of that nobody saw the gun when it was being aimed)
I don't know what your talking about... Let's just pretend you are talking about the pistol. It's the weakest weapon off all M.O.H. games (to be fair, I haven't played the last one but I've owned or beat each games since the original back on playstation 1) and while the accuracy good, it's not on part with any rifle. You usually throw them down in favor of a machine gun or a sniper riffle.

Also: Who doesn't see the gun? Who doesn't aim with a gun?
, true people
As opposed to what?
did see you
Where? Why? When?
but then you just sit on a bench and scowl for a couple seconds until they go away.
What? What does scowling or sitting on a bench have to do with guns? Why would they go away.

I don't want to harp on you but I probably could reply to your message better if I could understand you.

What? There's no indication... How did you found out? I really thought that he was taking about the pistol in Medal of Honor. He need to know what punctuation is.
The gun is very very loud and it attract everyone around toward you. Also, it's impossible to use in combat... at least in A.C. 2. I had more fun trying not to raise suspicion and the fact that i didn't had to find hiding point to get to my next objective were enough for me to forsake the gun and use the poison instead. It made collecting the codex page so much easy.

Okay at the risk of incurring the ire of more or less everyone, I had a horrible time with the Mass Effect shotgun. Now usually when I haul out a shotgun, it means that shit just got serious. When I hauled out the shotgun in ME and ME2, it was because every other gun had overheated on me. It just didn't have decent refire rate, splash damage or knock down. At least, it didn't for me.

Thankfully, there was the AR which was most sextacular.

Uh, the runner up which none of you will remember is the Porcupine Mine from Wing Commander 1. That thing was just a POS.
