I do belive this is known as the Tetris Effect. When a person who plays Tetris or some other game so much that they start to do things like, see a gap and wondering how they could fit a tetris block in there.
I think that every person who has played videogames has attepted to apply videogame logic into the real world. Has anyboy done this?.
I dont mean things like hearing a sound effect once in a while or seeing somthing in the distance you immediatly associate with Mario.
Things like attempting to pause your dinner to stop it going cold, or thinking 'Its ok I can just jack a car and be home in no time'
My example would be, after a large amount of time riding bikes on GTA San andreas I had to go out on my real bike to the shops, I passed a group of people I thought I knew so I Attemted to hold L2 and R2 to see a rear veiw. Took me 5 seconds to figure out why I couldent do it.

When I used to play WoW with Ventrilo a lot, there would be times outside of the game when I would be about to say something and I would have a subconscious reflex to press the PTT key. Was kinda wierd and thankfully no longer happens.

Never had this happen, probably because I've found a nice balance splitting my time between real life and video games.

I've had the good old 'Oh I'll just save beforehand and load if it turns out badly' thought once. Sadly the real world does not work this way.

The only other example I can think of is video games affecting my dreams. But that doesn't really count.

When I play driving games from 'Merica, I get used to driving on the right, and try to correct my dad, whilst he drives on the left...because we're in the UK.

This happens to me some times...I live really close to the Bethesda building and, they did a Fallout 3 meet-N-greet thing the night it was released, leaving a life-sized Brotherhood of Steel Knight in the Best Buy they visited. After about 10 hours of Fallout 3, on an evil campaign, I bumped into the statue and had an, 'oh-shit', deer-in-the-headlights moment. Also: After a Just Cause 2 marathon, I found myself extremely disappointed by my lack of a grapple hook

Assassin's Creed, I pushed through a crowd just like you do in the game. Got some odd looks, but they did move...just like the game.

I was thinking of shooting down a glider the other day. Then realised it wasn't a UAV and I don't have a Stinger. :(

No not really but sometimes I would like to live out things that happens in games. Like do crazy missions for crazy people and get paid for it and if I die. I'll be standing in front of the hospitola replying to a text to do it all over again or going to a shady gun shop and getting armor and then replying to a text to do it all over again. LOADING...

Having played about 700 hours of TES: Oblivion, I found myself unable to listen to someone's story and just cobbled together their sides of conversations from what I was expecting based on previous conversations. I lost a lot of friends this way.

Also, I look at people and try to decide what class in TF2 is closest to them.

I haven't had videogames spill into real life, but Microsoft Word has. I once erased something that I needed, and spent the next second or two wondering how I was going to Undo it.

In MW2 u have to pay attention when u see something moving in the distance right? Well after a long night of TDM i kept taking double takes everytime someone walked down the opposite side of the street.

Also, im a little embarressed to say this but one time i actually strapped a Flashight, onto my paintball gun and went out in the streets and had a zombie hunting extravaganza, but sadly i found none.

I played Oblivion/Fallout 3 for probably 3 months where they were the only games that I played. I walked into my friend's apartment, and I read a note that said "Intercom located in SouthWest entrance". I then looked down to see the compass Fallout3 compass.

This pretty much sums it up for me:

I found myself planning routes for maximum rolling efficiency.

My friend wanted to run over to some flowers and make them open up after playing Flower.

We now camply refer to it as "Flower Game" in a high pitched voice. XD
