Some of the puzzels where just to cheap and could almost only be solved by trial and error.
You know this to be the truth.
It's a fine distinction, between cheap and hard... Three puzzles over the course of the game stumped me, one to the point where I had to consult the Almighty Interwebz, but I honestly didn't have to trial-and-error any of them.

wow obviously the guy who picked the first assasins creed didnt hear that hell is repetition hell is repetition hell is repetition hell is repetition. while the game was fun it was too easy to win fights, and had a lot of really long and boring cutscenes,in addition to repeating the same side missions over and over.if the second one wasnt better for you then im shocked. i do give you props for being one of the first people to pick something thats not made by bethesda or valve.
Yeah I could find, without nitpicking, about a dozen things that were wrong with that game :p

Mount and Blade: Warband.

Awesome combat, no pesky storyline to get in the way of my sandbox RPing.
Massive array of mods, ranging from adding muskets to the game, to turning it into a starwars RPG.
Lancing farmers. Not because they did anything, just because you can.
Eloping with the King's daughter, then starting a rival kingdom and crushing his puny army.
Sure, the graphics aren't great, but it is made by a small studio. It even has multiplayer. Perfection.

Nothing is perfect. Even if it was, there would be people who would not enjoy it, and thus criticise it for not providing adequate entertainment.

Some games are well made. Some games are badly made. Some people like some games, others like others. It's all a matter of opinion, as this thread should make clear.
tehweave made it very clear in his first paragraph that no game can be perfect, I disagree with that though.

Also talking opinion this and that, you don't think for one second that you enjoyed a game so much that you didn't even criticise it at first? Like you said, some games are well made, what games are great to you?
Oh, sure there are games I don't criticise. I was merely stating that said games aren't going to be universally acclaimed. I guess the title 'Video games YOU cannot criticise' would be asking me myself and not everyone, so I'd have to say the increasingly cliched Half Life series. Just, every game in the series.

I like my games to feel like movies in which I myself play an integral part, and tell me a good story via the medium of excellent set pieces, interesting locales, coherent objectives and motivations and realistic characters. Each Half Life game delivers on every level, the first Half Life coming only slightly short in the character department, but that's because it's supposed to make you feel insecure, without assistance when things are at their worst. Imagine the first Half Life if you had a partner like Alyx with you fr the majority of the time? It wouldn't be nearly as good.

Hope that answers the question.
Perfectly, Makes me want to play Half-Life even more. I haven't played either of them and Portal, I just know I'm missing out on something.

There is no game that I cannot criticize in someway.
No matter how great a game is it will always have at least a few flaws.

LoL, you people need to stop fooling yourselves, everything on the face of this earth has an imperfection here and there.

Half Life 2 = too linear, horrible gunplay
Mass Effect 2 = way too wordy, cover base shooting uninspiring
Portal = too short, gameplay too limited, no backstory
Fallout 3 = buggy as hell, mediocre gunplay, mediocre main story
Bioshock = bad ending, unbalanced

and as for old games or genres:

Zelda = old and needs to die
Mario = old and needs to die
Metroid = perfect..wait! I mean.....ok I always thought the ball thing was just so gimmicky..lol

Moral of the story: if you really love a game, just like people, those imperfections are what count..=)

Geometry Wars 2. The first time I played it, I was struck by how absolutely perfect it was.

Raziel was so damn cool.
No kidding! I mean, who doesn't love a soul devouring, ex-vampire wraith?
