Personally, I'd kill for an anime based on either Chrono Trigger or the first Kingdom Hearts game. How 'bout you?

I guess Final Fantasy would be cool, that goes without saying. And I know there is already one or two, but from what I have seen, meh.

At the moment I am playing a game called Lost Odyssey, a really cool art style to it. I think it would work well as an anime if the script was to be worked on a little.

I think No More Heros takes the cake though, I wouldn't mind seeing an anime on that one.

ALSO Odin Sphere, that would make a GREAT anime.

Like you said, Kingdom Hearts would be fun aswell.

Metal Gear Soild, That entire Series is a Anime at heart.
Could set it after the Events of Peace Walker in the years between it and Solid Snake being sent into Outer Heaven.

Well, I WOULD have said Persona 4, but they did that already.

So instead I'll jump on the Kingdom Hearts bandwagon. Hell, there's a manga already, why not an anime?

And there's even a chance for this to happen. Hell, Lilo and Stitch got an anime, so I could see this happening.

I think that would actually work really well! I read a while back that they were actually looking in to turning the in-universe anime in those games in to a real show. Guess that fell through.

OT: Asura's Wrath. From what I've seen and experienced of that game that's exactly what it wants to be anyway, so why not let it? It might actually be worth my time then too.

Armored Core.

I know that there are animes based on mercenaries and then there is the mecha genre but i have not heard of the to together.

If they take advantage of Armored Core's game play mechanic of rebuilding your mech can lead to interesting scenarios and if done well the detached worldview of a mercenary can make it a long runner without having contrived ways to keep the conflict from resolving since the protagonist is always motivated to resolve conflicts to get more money. Related missions form each arc of the series.

I'd love to see No More Heroes as an anime.

I'd also like to see a Zelda anime done by studio Ghibli or with studio Ghibli-like animation.

EDIT: Forgot about Blazeblue.

Also, Saya no Uta.

Deus Ex, maybe. It was already done to some extent with Ghost in the Shell, so the material could probably work pretty well as an anime.

Adapting the game into an anime? No. Seen quite a few of them, and I think they're all terrible. Apart from visual novel adaptations, but those are more akin to an slightly interactive manga/anime than a video game to begin with.

Something that takes the characters, setting and tone of a game and uses that to tell it's own story, that could work. To be honest, I don't know any examples of that. I do like smearyllama's Deus Ex idea though. I'm a sucker for cyberpunk.

Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun the Lost Age, why? Because I really like those game's stories and characters but other than the first Golden Sun, I can't finish JRPGs, I just can't and I want to see those stories through, but they just really bore me after 3 or 4 days of playing them and after not playing them for a week I just have to restart the story again to make sure I haven't forgotten it, and I just want to see the story, I can't deal with JRPGs, possibly just RPGs in general considering that KOTOR2 and Golden Sun 1 are the only ones I have ever finished, and that was a long time ago now.

Resident Evil, Zelda (if done by Madhouse or Ghibli), No More Heroes, and I don't know why but I want to see what would happen if TF2 got turned into a short one, like 4 to 6 episodes. Probably because I want to hear someone try to speak Japanese with a Brooklyn accent.

I'd kill for good anime adaptations of Disgaea and Pokémon, since the ones they actually got sucked. Boktai also seems like it would make for an interesting adaptation. I mean, vampire fiction meets westerns meets low fantasy? Why, yes, it does sound like The Dark Tower now that you mention it, but this one has the visual style of Trigun!

Captcha: ear candy. Perhaps a soundtrack composed by Yoko Kanno?

I think 3D Dot Game Heroes would make for an...interesting...comedy/parody anime.
