Have read an article about videogame plot conspiracy theories on Dorkly (http://www.dorkly.com/article/13074/the-dorklyst-the-6-greatest-videogame-theories-on-the-internet) and tried to find some more online. But alas, the ones I found were about some stupid crap like "Is Hideo Kojima secretly making another Metal Gear?!!11". So my answer is - do you know some awesome plot conspiracies? Maybe you thought of them yourself, or maybe you read it somewhere, let's share!

Activision's lawsuit against EA is pretty much just a massive conspiracy theory.

Could this be a conspiracy theory or complete coincidence?

On February 10, 2003 ? Command & Conquer: Generals is released.
The first mission of the USA campaign was to invade Baghdad.

On March 20, 2003 ? The Iraq War began.

Metal Gear Solid has predicted so many world catastrophes both natural and artificial that I can almost honestly say that the Patriots La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo exist.

DAMNIT!

Valve will lead the way in Cloud technology development as well as Gaming online distribution systems until Gabe Newell dies when his genius will be replaced by a committee.

And then you will regret all the fat jokes you made.

I remember when I was really little and new to videogames, for some reason I was under some belief that the enemies in videogames weren't actually AI controlled computers, but actually other players playing the same game as me and they see me as just another faceless mook... I don't even know how I got that idea.
Dude, I thought the same too! I always pictured a warehouse somewhere with loads of people playing the NPC's.

baddude1337, that's what I'm talking about =D
Actually it would be pretty awesome.

Another actually, did anyone think about possible correlations between Masterchief and Samus from Metroid series? Consider this. They both travel around in their space-suits, both serve as a black-ops troopers for their earth government and protect it from aliens. Both have shields and in first Halo, you fight against some kind of virus bugs, that (surprise) mutate their victims to the state of gruesome zombies. And of course, they never take their helmets off (well, they do only in secret endings) Other M notwithstanding.
What I want to say is could Bungie originally want to make a TPS-Metroid, but then decided to alter the mood a bit?

Well, other than the two already mentioned on the Dorkly list, there are a shit-ton of Pokemon conspiracies. Hang around on 4chan's /vp/ every once in a while, and you'll see a thread where people post stuff that, if you're into the series, might surprise you.

There are so many conspiracy theories about Pokémon that it's just plain ridiculous.

For example, look at Caterpie -> Metapod -> Butterfree and then look at Venonat -> Venomoth. Wouldn't it look much better for Butterfree and Venomoth to swap places?

Thanks for the advice, 4chan usually would be the last place I'd go searching.

Well, The Secret World is an upcoming game about conspiracy theories, does that count?
Looks like fun. Hope it won't blow off like Singularity or something. I sure hope they'll insert some kind of alien reptyloid nation for all Scientologists out there.

I don't know why you're pressing the underaged -adjective. Enough with the over-sexualization of kids.

But yes, it's the phenomenal actress from Léon - The Professional.

Fox news denounces games so as to draw more attention to them, particularly the more violent ones, to desensitise children to the killing of "bad guys" so they can sufficiently kill Americas enemies. The military FPS saturation of today is so you'll eventually have to pick one up. In each of them there is a hidden trigger phrase that will turn all regular players into killing machines of the ARA (American Republican Army), which will one day overthrow the US government and install it's own dictatorship with Rupert Murdoch as all-powerful Overlord. You know who popularised these types of games? Activision. You know who owns Activision?
Rupert Murdoch.

the developers of bulletstorm paid fox news to say the game would make you a rapist to boost sales.
