Look at the avatar. Yuuki "Hazama" Terumi from BlazBlue.
Imagine Ichimaru Gin, Liquid Snake, Micheal Jackson, Kefka Palazzo rolled into one.

Kefka, from FF6.

He actually succeeds... How many villains do you know who actually succeed on their first try?
Damnit, ninja'd so soon!

Well then. Probably...Diablo. It's kind of a shocker to find that your own Hero's actions were EXACTLY what it wanted.

Bionic Commando's villain is Hitler. I fail to see how that can be beaten.
Wolfenstein's Final Boss was Robo-Hitler (if I remember correctly) which is kinda like Hitlers Ultimate form.

I always thought Sephiroth was a pretty badass villain. Today, he gets something of a bad rap, mostly due to overexposure, but that really isn't fair. Back when FFVII was new, back before the series was milked to death and still taken somewhat seriously, Sephiroth was the man.

It's all in the way the game sets him up, really. You spend the first quarter of the game fighting against this evil corporation, only to get caught and locked up. When you wake up the next morning, your cell's unlocked, the building's splattered with blood and signs of a struggle, and the president of that corporation is dead at his desk with a huge katana in his back. That alone should hint that the guy you're up against is pretty tough, but he continues to dog your steps throughout the game.

That huge swamp snake that could kill your whole party in one turn? He killed it by himself and impaled it on a tree. That world-ending materia that you want to keep out of his hands? He lets you find it, then takes control of your mind and forces you to give it to him. That innocent flower girl who may hold the key the the planet's salvation? Gutted like a trout.

And, of course, his theme song just sends chills up your spine.

The almighty Searchbar.
You know, it could be argued that pointing out that this topic has been done before is far more pointless then the repeated topic itself.

OT:Kratos. That is all.

Perhaps it could be argued, but then again it could be argued that it is on the forum rules not to repeat threads. I believe the OP could be warned or banned for doing so, so perhaps mentioning the searchbar has more of a point than you would think.

Face it portal dweebs, Shodan is the biggest and the baddest. GlaDos is just misguided, Shodan is pure malevolence distilled into sentinent programming, she hates you for being meat, and killing you is a kindness she doesn't extend to The Many. GlaDos is a sweetheart, Shodan is an Evil Devil Woman ***** Queen. Shodan is terrifying, GlaDos is good for a laugh.

Saren in Mass Effect. He was dark, charismatic and mysterious. He was also deadly and efficiant and his cool emotionless tone made him have this real presence as he strode confidently leading the Geth and unwittingly bringing about the destruction of all life in the Galaxy.
He was well characterised, believable and had actual flaws as well as odd likeable qualities. He was awesome.

Seriously, the Collectors have nothing on him.

When it comes to sheer Badassery, I'd say Liquid Snake.
Though my heart shall always belong to SHODAN over GlaDOS. I take malevolent dominatrix with dreams of galactic conquest over a party going ditz any day.

Lord Ferrok, from Battallion Wars 2. Yes, he rips off Sauron in more than a few ways and his voice is a little annoying, but he is thoroughly awesome. Also, are you going to argue with a multi-ton Battlestation tank? Man, that thing was a joy to use.

Wesker. It's the shades. Anyone who wears shades at all times, be it daytime or nightime, automatically has their "badass" rating kicked up a notch.

I second Saren.

I also think that all of the villains in Metal Gear Solid are brilliant, Psycho Mantis in particular.

Bit of a blast from the past, but I also loved Legion from Shadowman. "For we are many" :)

Ares. He tricks Kratos into killing his own family, and even after slaying Ares, Kratos is still so torn up that the only thing that stopped him from committing suicide was Athena. Kratos then went on to kill all the gods of Olympus. Good job, Ares.
