Kane from C&C's NOD (so long as you play GDI anyway). The guys charismatic, he has followers that are devout, he's smart and calculating. He is certain and sure in his convictions. He IS a great villain.

just having another thought here...would anyone consider Gravemind from Halo or the G-Man from half life a villain?
Gravemind would be interesting, because the flood is seen as the villian, but they're really primitive life-forms, and infecting other organisms is how they survive.
Exactly, they're simply antagonist.

Which seems to be something that many people forget.
I think thats because people love to jump on the halo-hate-wagon so fast around here.

Wow...I can't believe i'm the first to say it.

The Darkness...we're on about hero's being nothing without the villain. Jackie and The Darkness. Paulie was a villain, but not the main villain if you think about it.

Kane lives in death! :p

Anyway, my vote's for Ponsonby from the second Destroy All Humans! game. Old-fashioned Brit, initially an ally, turns traitor on you. I was half expecting him to bang on about having tea and crumpets with the Queen, just to completely fill the stereotype.

I did forget about that it's been so long....oh and another one Calypso from Twisted Metal and here's my reason...yes he may have been able to give you anything you wanted provided you killed several peoples but he would always turn it against you somehow.

I'd like to give a shout-out to Clockwerk from the Sly Cooper games. Anybody who hates a family so much that he turns himself into a robot that runs on pure concentrated hate to continuously attack their bloodline is one crazy badass.

i thought the darkness was incredibly scary. and if you dont just think about it, a man being taken over by a higher power telling him to "let the rage out" only so he can manifest into pure evil. thats some fucked up shit right there

also if you think about it it goes far beyond that attacking him on a subconscious level by blacking out and going into a blind rage because of the death of his girl friend. anyone ever read the comic its way fucked up in there however he does have more control over it

Sephiroth is an emo prick who failed in destroying the world. Kefka is an insane bastard who poisons an entire castle full of innocents, burns a whole village to the ground, and murders one of the Empires most empathetic characters. Oh, and HE DESTROYED THE WHOLE WORLD! No villian will ever actually impart on me such a sense of evil and fear.
And he Killed his own Emperor, slaughtered countless Espers, Used one of the main characters as a weapon and tested it on his own men, attacked an allied nation, tried to turn characters against each other. He is one of the most opportunistic bastards ever and it's hard to top some of the sinister shit he's done.

Not to mention he is one of the few villains to actually become a god without dying five minutes later. Hell, the man starts burning down entire towns for shits and giggles.

Damn, thats a little harsh don't you think?
I mentioned SS2 twice today by pure coincidence. But i'm not ashamed to be called a Fanboy of it (Despite the fact that i'm not, I still prefer BioShock.) Have you ever played it? The game is a marvel in practically every front.

Ok, So you are DEFINITELY a Cyber Stalker.
