Also let me just say that Too Human sucked, but god I loved the setting Loki from Too Human was amazing.

The way Loki hacked Hod's perception to get him to kill Baldur was just amazing. (plus it mirrors the mythology somewhat.)

From the later seasons of Breaking Bad, Walter White.
I loved seeing his transformation from struggling family man to ruthless drug lord but he is just despicable now.

And although you could argue that he's not necessarily a villain, Tywin Lannister from A Song of Ice and Fire. He's a heartless dick that completely screwed up his kids. What really drove it home was Tyrion's story about what happened with Tysha, which was absolutely sick.

Lloyd from Legend of Dragoon

It's been so long since I've played he game, but I still recall wanting to have this character dead. Heck, of the character's, he's the only one who's name I remember. He killed off the green dragoon, which was my favorite of the bunch, and I just swore vengeance on him. Once the arc with him was over, I stopped playing the game. It just wasn't the same when he wasn't my target.

Oh my so many to chose from...I'd say recently out of all the people I enjoyed killing the most it was Kai Leng from ME3. Not because he killed my pals, oh no no, it was just satisfying to see this dickhole get his plot armor torn apart in the last chunk of the game.

The Thalmor and Ulfric stormcloak. I picked the empire even though I hated them to in the civil war simply to stop both these

Even though I criticized Mass Effect 3 for a lot of things, I gotta say I applaud Bioware for making Kai Lang so easy to hate. There is not a single redeeming thing about him. I hate 100% of Kai Lang. Everything he did and said just made it worse and the hate I felt for Kai Lang was increasing rapidly. Incidentally, so did my hate for Bioware, but that's a whole other issue.

Scar from the Lion King.

I don't care if you're voiced by Jeremy Irons i.e Voice of a Sex God, you did a bad bad thing! Not only did you kill your own brother, you emotionally destroyed a little cub before you sent your minions off to kill him too. Was there any need to have him believe he is such a terrible person and at fault? No because in your mind he's going to be dead in ten minutes away.

Plus! You slapped Simba's mother... not good man. Not good.

Yawgmoth and Nicol Bolas from M:TG

Yawgmoth was a manipulative bastard, so is Bolas...but GOD! I hate Bolas so much more. He is so condescending.

Nicol Bolas is like the only character I can think of who would sound like a jerk no matter what he does. Even if all he did was give you a back rub, feed you ice cream, and say have a nice day.
I have to agree with you on Yawgmoth.

He really was such a bastard and I couldn't believe how he manipulated himself to the top and practically got away with....well...without going into spoilers, killing people. I was actually impressed with how he managed to do it too.

Poor Glacian and Rebbec though. :(
Honestly, I didn't even know if I should've trusted him or Glacian until the very end, and I have to respect that.
That's true.

I wanted someone to do something about Yawgmoth and that no one was listening to Glacian, but then there were times where I thought that he was just being incredibly bitter and not listening to reason.

It was such a great read.

More recently, the Governor in The Walking Dead. (From the television series; I haven't reached that point in the comics yet).
Seeing his initial interactions with Michonne was offsetting, but then watching him spiral into a depraved maniac was just... ruthless. When he finally got his hands on Maggie, that was it. I wanted to slit his throat myself. No one touches my baby girl!!
Oh god this. Hes a very convincing villain. And i LOATHE him.

When:

She jams that glass into his eye i roared "FUCK YES DIE YOU FUCKING BASTARD DIE DIE DIE" so loud people came over to see if i was ok. NOBODY hurts glen. GLEN IS A BOSS.
*breathes through teeth* Oooooohh, buddy....You're going to hate Book 17.

Captain Martin Walker. Full Stop.
Understandable; after all, he was his own villian.

OP: Hmm...quite a few good baddies on this list. If I had to choose an original one, I think I'd go with...

Mom, from the Binding of Isaac. Much hair has been torn and teeth gnashed in my attempts to defeat her and her minions/abortions.

Orsino in Dragon Age 2.

Say what you will about DA2, but the fact is, having the leader of the mages turn himself into a fucking Harvester because he couldn't handle the stress of winning the fight against Meredith because Meredith is so stupid that her strategy amounts to "send a small group of Templars into fight at a time, watch the mages curbstomp them, repeat process", only to then proceed, now that he's a fucking Harvester, to kill the mages instead of the templars, is a really stupid fucking thing and made me hate him more than anyone else in the story.

All this after having spent the entire game apparently being the only mage in Kirkwall aside from Bethany/Hawke to champion not complete Mage freedom (which is stupid) but to champion compromise.

Goddamnit Orsino, you were the only one I liked aside from the Arishok, and at least I could respect the Arishok for what he did.

I think alot of that was for the wrong reasons (mainly being.."heres this guy! he's your rival now..cool?..cool")....as well as the right reasons though

eather way I get the impression they wanted him to be totally cool...no bioware, your not fooling anyone with that Metal Gear Solid miscarrage of a charachter

Umbridge, or Umbitch as I prefer to refer to her as, is probably one fictional character I hate the most.

Her crimes:

She loved and played an active part in the persecution and genocide of Muggleborns in DH.
She ordered the Dementor attack on Harry in OTTP and had no problems about murdering a 15 year old child.
She delights in abusing children (Acting all sweet when she does).
She enjoys ruining people's lives by firing them and just being generally nasty.
To top it off she's a down right racist and a controlling *****.
at least Voldemort is aware he is a vile bastard..and simply does not care

Umbridge wraps it all up in a "morally superior, mummy knows best" way which makes her worse...its interesting how its easyer to hate the latter than it is the former

Joffrey's a dick, yes. But you haven't seen jack shit until you come across Ramsay Snow (it's snow damn you! I'm not fucking calling him bolton!). Joffrey was a sadistic little shit, but he was to a large degree incompetent, unintelligent, and a huge coward. Ramsay is serious business. He's twice as sadistic, much, much cleverer, and he prefers to do most of his dirty work himself.

Come on, he kidnaps a grieving widow, rapes her, forces her to marry him, then leaves her locked in a tower to rot, just to get his hands on some land, and it looks like he may have been planning to do the same to "arya stark"
Oh God yes, I didn't think Martin would ever be able to make me feel sorry for Theon Greyjoy after what he did to Winterfell... but he managed it.

[sub]Reek, it rhymes with weak.[/sub]

Don't forget that Jon is also a Snow. I'd rather lump Ramsay in with Roose Bolton, who's also evil, rather than lump him in with Jon.

OT: I'm gonna go with Niska from Firefly. He was one sick, sadistic bastard.

Vaas is definitely my vote, however, Clockwerk from the Sly Cooper series is also a really hated villain of mine because he's just plain evil.

Joffrey, Dolores Umbridge, Nurse Ratched, Harry Lime - Despicable cowards

Oh and I started hating Cersei in Book 4 of A Song of Ice and Fire. She's the maniacal ***** queen: "Lady Macbeth" taken to a whole new level.

or, alternatively

Captain Walker, I certainly felt bad emotions towards him. Now I just need to figure out which emotion it is

Laurie Forman from That 70's Show. Not necessarily a villain in the traditional sense, but she will still more often than not the antagonist to her brother Eric so I still count her as one, not to mention I HATED her and loved every second of it!
