I lost my virginity when I was 15. It wasn't with anyone special and it was just a one night stand. I don't regret how it happened or that it wasn't something more deep. I think the cliche of "wait untill you are ready" really is the best advice because if you do that, whether it be with the one you love or just someone you fancy then chances are you won't wish you had done things differently when you look back at it.

It's both a big deal, and it's not. It's certainly a landmark in the rest of your life, but it's not something you should have to stress about.
Not scared at all. Looking forward to it. I'll probably be having a nervous breakdown about all the things that could possibly go wrong, but honestly, I do that about everything.
No. Why would I sell it, when I can get it for free?
Promise rings are stupid. (Atheist here)
I'd say you should definitely be in love, but then again love is just a chemical reaction in your brain. You should at least be dating someone long enough to tell them you love them, and be comfortable doing so. Don't just find the sluttiest person around. And do you REALLY want to wait until you're married? A: Why the hell would you? (Again, biased Atheist here) B: If you did, your honeymoon is going to be terrible. Everyone knows the first time is gonna suck.

Just my opinions.

Virginity is just an illusion. At the end of the day, if you bang your head you might forget if you have it or not.

Not implying that banging head = sex

Not really a big deal. Just shouldn't rush into it. I only lost it a few months ago to my boyfriend and don't regret a thing. Just make sure you're ready. That's pretty much all there is too say.

I don't respect whores (receiving payment for sex even once makes you one) and people wanting to purchase someone's virginity are creepy.
Ugh.
Enjoy life, just don't be stupid and wind up with a burning itch down thar for the rest o'your days.

Losing your virginity is not the huge, life-changing right of passage that society makes it out to be. It is a rather dull experience, because sex is over-hyped, and both parties come away from the experience mutually dissatisfied. I wish I had never bothered to even try it.

Likewise, there is nothing sacred about being a virgin. It's just one state of being. It doesn't change anything.

Go ahead and sell it if you want. You might at least gain a small something by selling it rather than just giving it away.

Promise rings are pointless and stupid.

Wait to lose your virginity until you are ready to reproduce. That's the only real function sex serves anyway.

Not a big deal...

Umm... kinda sacred? Is there a halfway option here?

Can't be sold,(for anything your packin')

Promise rings are pointless...

Love/opportunity (depending on who it is)...

I know, I know... I'm a terrible person...

Not really, getting a good relationship is a pretty big deal. Things like first time, first kiss, first relationship are all nice landmarks, but no big deal, so no not sacred either.

How can it be sold?

Are promise rings something that people give to each other so they'll wait till they're 16 or something? I'm not sure about them, answer will be 'pointless' though.

It'd have to be somewhere between love and opportunity.

Not a big deal.
Not sacred.
Promise rings are silly and from what I've heard don't work particularly well.
I suppose it could be sold, but it shouldn't.
Waiting for love is the best way in my opinion.

I sorta do. I mean, I'm not about to just go losing it to anybody...

Nah... never once considered it a sacred thing. That's a bit extreme for my tastes.

Well, I recall this chick putting up an ad on the net offering her virginity to men if they paid her a certain amount. So... I think it can... Unless you mean a more symbolic way, I guess.

Meh... they seem kinda lame to me. It's like promising to save themselves for marriage? If a couple gives them to each other, why not just go straight to the engagement ring?

All 3 are fine for me. I mean, the big preference is for love. Marriage being second. But you can't guarantee either will happen. So that's where opportunity comes in.
