I'd love to do voice acting! It's always been one of those jobs I've always wanted to try but don't put any effort in to get into the business...

I can do quite a few voices and I think it'd be really fun too. Have you ever seen the anime bloopers? Awesome!

Yeah, that's not half a bad idead... except in the game industry they don't give a flying flak about voices in the games typically. They just tell you to say something, with no room for improvisation or anything. That's gotta suck.
But voice acting does sound cool.

It's probably the easiest way to make a buck.

The best advise I can give you: when auditioning, try and speak with the cadence of William Shatner. Pauses and everything.

I really fancy the idea of putting my voice in games and movies. I just need to find a good company that'll let me do it.

Those are Eldar? huh, I thought they'd be taller

made me crack up the first time I heard that :D

I'd love to do voice acting. If I can be bothered I can do it quite well.
but since I'm not doing voice acting, I CAN'T be bothered, so I don't. unfortunately.

I'd like to prove that not all Irish people speak like something out of "Darby O' Gill and the Little People", which means I'd never be hired.

"Say something Irish, like 'top o' de mornin' te ye, begorrah!"

I think I could pull it off. I can put emotion int my voice when I'm reading aloud and I can do a wide variety of voices. The one thing thats holding me back is that I have no idea how I would get into the business.

English-speaking countries are some of the worst to do voice work for. You're much better off doing it in some other language, more work and more pay.

I thought about it, and tried it, but i always sound like a damn robot. Got no talent, i guess.
Or i could do it for a robot character.

hmm, yea, I've studied acting since I was a kid but because I don't really fit the typical beautiful romantic woman type, which is really the only thing an actress can get when shes in her late teens, (unless they are really lucky/talented) so I think I would like voice acting.
But I love animation too- in my opinion its very similar to acting.

I've been told I have a great voice to be the "Ready... Fight"-guy for those kinds of games, besides that, probably not...

I've considered it. Being that I have a number of accents and voice inflections at my disposal, and not the cartoonishly stupid kinds (mostly), I figured it might be a decent fit.

Wow. Just wow. I'm actually considering doing an (amateur) animation project, with me as a writer, My best bud as the drawer/animator, and other people to do voice acting. Because we suck. Bigtime. Anywho, my point is, if I had had more money and gotten started on the writing (as well as my friend learning to animate properly), I'd probably hire you if I could.
