Voice of Gordon Freeman

As much as a think he is better off a mute I have little doubt that valve will not try to suprise us with anything In the third instalment and possibly the final game of the series.

One of those things they might just throw at us is Dr. Freeman speaking for the first time.

The question is which actor is best suited for being the voice of freeman.

Gordon Freeman's mute is a running gag. It's one of the many things that define HL from other First Person Shooters.

No-one should voice Gordy, 'cause he's fine just the way he is.

I'd laugh so very much if in HL2 Episode 3 we ended up finding out that Gordon Freeman is actually mute and people understand him because he can project his thoughts into peoples' minds.

Choosing a voice actor would be tough because usually characters have something distinctive about them, which Gordon Freeman doesn't. He has nothing that would indicate what kind of person he is, so choosing a voice actor would mostly be at random

What I really want is a level where Gordon loses his glasses, he's fought off two entire alien invasion forces, been flung over gorges in cars, dropped from cranes, hit over the head by Marines, placed in suspended animation, yet those Specs stay magically welded to his face. They don't even have any scratches on them for Chrissakes.

More seriously, how much harder would the game be if Gordon could lose his specs?
