Yes this is actually quite appropriate, as both are post-production voice-overs.

Though, on the other hand, HalfLife 2 has far superior acting.

That revolver comment gave me an idea. They should add an idle animation for the revolver where he spins it around like Ocelot. That would be awesome.

Unfortunately screen actors as a whole make notoriously bad Voice actors (just look at Fro-I mean Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman in Spyro).

Ron Perlman, thats all im going to say on the matter, if it turns out that Freeman has Perlmans voice i will be amazined, i think it suits him really well.
Also, if he said something quite quippy like, "I quit" or something as he shoots the G-Man with a shotgun, that would also be very good
