I'm pretty damned decent with the English language if I may say so myself. Not so much anything else though. I'm far too lazy to bother learning anything else at the moment, although I want to at least attempt to start learning Japanese soon.

Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that someone with an anime catgirl avatar would have an interest in learning Japanese though >.>

Since I live in Switzerland, I have to speak many different languages. I speak:

English
Francais
Deutsch
Schwizerduetsch (Basler Dialaekt)
un poco italiano

and I plan on learning some Japanese as well.

I speak English as a first language, I know enough French to get it wrong most of the time, but could ask for directions to the ferry back to a real country, and enough Spanish to know when Google Translate is wrong and have a conversation in Spanish as long as the other party is willing to accept my wild stabs at words I don't know, but not enough to live in spain or another Spanish speaking country.

Overall, I'd say my langage skills are pretty decent for your average person who stopped studying languages 12 years ago.

English, naturally.

Enough German that I could probably not be completely lost in Germany so long as people knew I was a foreigner and didn't speak very good German.

Three years' worth of Latin, which I've been taught primarily to read/write as opposed to speak.

Enough Icelandic to carry out the most basic/simple conversations. (Hello my name is/what's your name, how many languages do you speak/I speak ______/I do not speak ______, etc)

I was forced to take Spanish in high school, and it was either that or French. I learned enough to pass the class, but that's not saying much. I had absolutely no desire to learn either one of those languages.

I would preferred to learn (Or attempt to learn) German or Japanese.

That shouldn't be that surprising when my avatar is a German catboy.

I speak Swedish as my native language.
English was the first language I was taught.
Then I learned German which I think I'm alright at.
And lastly I am currently studying Italian, however, I'm shite at it.

Well, lessee..

English and Japanese. Both effectively native languages, seeing as I'm half-English, everyone in the house speaks English and I've lived in Japan for almost all my life.

Oh, and Hebrew, as I'm also half-Israeli. Not nearly as fluent in Hebrew as I should be, though. Bit embarrassing, that.

I speak/read/write in English, of course. I can speak Cantonese pretty fluently, and I'm alright with Mandarin. I learnt French for four years, Japanese for two, and I can also speak a little German/Finnish/Indonesian. I can also say 'I am in love with your gay son' in Dutch, but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

My English will probably soon be better than my German, which is my mother tounge... My French is a bit rusty but it's sufficient to understand a text I read, although I have to take it slow; hearing those guys talk is another thing altogether, though. And my Latin is stills surprisingly good after all those years. And I know just enough Italian to have the waiter roll his eyes at me for maiming his language.

I know perfect Macedonian (home language), Bulgarian, Serbian and English. Also, I know a little more than basic French.
