Until you've reached your early 20s, anything in the single digits is normal. Drinking really kills inhibitions, and being able to do it legally destroys them, so we all tend to pick up the pace a little around that time.

Really, if you're 20 and you've had 10 or more, you're nuts. If you've had as many as you have, you're just charming. Be proud.

You're a teenager for eight years? How'dya figure?

Anyway, I am currently 16. I've had one long distance relationship, and one short relationship with someone who goes to my school. Most people I know have had many more than that, but some have had less.

Well Lets see I'm 19 and I have had 1. yup...thankfully that 1 has lasted 2 years. Am I the weird one here?
For the record, this is what I would consider ideal, and no, you are not the weird one.

I made a choice not to date till I was in college (was going for huge acting scholarship at the time) but, for those of my friends who did date 6 sounds about the same for them.

Edit: As of right now I'm 23 and been with my first and only Boyfriends since I was your age 19.

I don't think there is a normal but I say if you've had 1 or 2 you're dating life is good enough that you should be happy with it. If you haven't had one you shouldn't worry, you're life hasn't really started yet and you have plenty of time to find someone.

Personally though I don't think the number of relationships you've had really matters. I'd much rather have one relationship that lasts a year than 6 that last 2 months. People are too worried about numbers rather than whether they got something out of the relationship. I've technically had 4 relationship including the one I'm in now but I only count 3 because my first didn't mean anything.

Honestly, I usually have 1 or 2 girlfriends every year, (usually just one) so I really don't see the problem with having had 6 when you're 19. (This has been going on for me since I was 11 or 12, so... yeah.)

I don't think that makes me a playa, and I certainly don't disregard women in any way.

I'd say normal would probably be however many relationships you'd want to have. Upwards of 5 is pushing it though.

Well I'm 17 and I've had one relationship that ended just a few months ago, but I wouldn't call her my girlfriend cuz things kinda fell apart before we made it that far. This was the first time I'd ever even come close to dating a girl, which at age 17 would be a bit odd where I'm from (rural Wisconsin, USA), but not outright weird. I know a guy who's 19 who has never had a girlfriend.
also, the way that relationship went is causing me to think twice before just jumping into another relationship. It would've been nice if it had worked out better, but I think I'm better for it. At least now I've got that awkward first relationship out of the way.

QFT, because this is how a lot of people work.

There isn't a real, 'normal' amount of teenage relationships in my mind, to be honest.

I'm eighteen and I've had a grand total of three. I don't think six is absurd, given that not all of them were as serious as others. High school relationships are ephemeral, so it's not as if having a few is some big thing.

I'm 20 and I've had no relationships. I'm pretty sure that's not normal, but fuck it, I ain't normal and never will be.

I've had 2 long-term partners, no short-term ones because personally I don't see much point in it.

But that's a small amount, judging from the other people I know. I don't know exact numbers, but about 4+ seems usual for that age around here. Australia, by the way.

I don't think it's an easy thing to judge, since the degree of variance is pretty huge.

It's not weird, everyone's different.

I'm likewise nineteen, and I've only been in one relationship. We started dating nearly four years ago, when I was fifteen and she thirteen, and we've been at it ever since. And I'm American, for the record.
