Ok, so I just checked the Gamecrush site to see if they'd said April fool's or whatever yet and there was a "WTF" button. It was just a FAQ, so I checked the IGN Prank list (http://wii.ign.com/articles/108/1081278p1.html) and it wasn't there... So apparently this crap is real... Anyone else slightly more offended than before?

I'm not offended, just...somewhat unsettled. Still, it's just an extension of what men have been paying for for thousands of years.

Don't read to much into it, it's just guys thinking with an organ other than their brain, if you know what I mean. Then combine that with videogames, and you get profit.
Oh My God! People are thinking with their lungs!!! People said I was mad when I declared this prophecy, well who's mad now!?

Well if it isn't a joke then it's just kinda sad. Mind you, do these women actually play the games? If so, I suppose I could pay someone to play games online without cursing every two seconds (or perhaps I'd have to pay extra for that...). Someone I might actually talk to.

I have a feeling that instead of hearing curses, you'd hear things like,
"Oh... Let me empty your assault rifle."
"Gee, my mana is empty. Want to... help me replenish it?"
"Get on top of my tank, baby!"

I'd rather go with cursing, to be honest.

I find it a bit odd that it might make money; if you want to play games, why would you want to play against people who probably aren't very good?
Then again, I'm not surprised, I just find it a pity that it has to exist.

This was announced more than a week before April Fools so yeah, it's real. Seems a bit silly but they did a decent job of rationalizing it's purpose and the costs seem reasonable so if you're into that kind of thing, go for it.

The sad thing about it is not that is some "stupid" idea that will never be successful, but rather that it's going to be hugely successful.
Yea. I can actually name 3 people I know personally that would probably use it.

I must've missed something, what's this "Gamecrush" site?
E-harmony for gamers.
Not really. E-Harmony is a dating site, Gamercrush is more of a "video game hookers" kind of thing.

Again, E-harmony for gamers.
Where as E-harmony is just a "hookers" kind of thing.
I'm just offended they had to bring games down with them.

Wait, what? I missed this and the phrase "video game hookers" can mean many things and I won't speculate on any of them.

Even Gamespot made a joke by pretending it was an April fools joke only to realize it's real.

And before anyone asks, I always go to Gamespot on April 1st.

Yeah, it'd be easy for them to just have the girl talking on the headset or whatever while someone more skilled actually plays. Or griefs. Either way.
OT: That's just pathetic. Pathetic more in the sense that I know plenty of people will pay for the service than on the part of the Gamecrush execs. What has the human race come to?
