Have you ever plugged in a really old game, went online just for the hell of it and were surprised at the amount of people still playing it online?

I just plugged in Star Wars: Battlefront II and was awe struck at how many rooms there were. The game is a bit old yet there are over 20 rooms, all with at least 3 people playing.

Edit: Ok people, I get it! It's not THAT old but it's still been around for a while! Sheesh. >_>"

I did the exact thing too. Half for giggles, but half to see if the PS3 supported online interactions for the PS2.

Spell Methuselah right, otherwise people will jump all over this thread.

I had the same experience with Star Wars Battlefront, but then again, I think it's good enough to deserve it. I also once found a huge online Total Annihilation online matchmaker community, which shocked me because it wasn't even very well known.

I guess a good game will always be replayed by someone somewhere

Well, I'm not surprised, but Starcraft still has a enormous population. And it was made in 1996ish.

Plenty of hilarious people online on Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Mostly just dicking around though.

Let them jump. Not my problem if they want to show idiocy over a simple misspelled word.

At any given moment, there are at least two people still playing Diablo One.
One of them is usually me.

I went on Empire Earth yesterday and was surprised to find quite a few people online. maybe it was just my timing, but I saw 100 different games being hosted.

Apparently it also supports online interactions with PC's. Now I'm pissed that I sold my copy last year.

which one? EEII was a work of art and I play it all the time. EEIII was garbage imo.

OFC bf2 still has alot of people on it, most of them are 12 year olds though. Trust me my lil bro and his friends are always on that game.

One of the best games ever (IMO)!

When are they going to make III?
I think they're making it as we speak. There was a trailer back in January, but there was never a release date.

Luckily I don't have a mic for my PS2, so I can't hear the high pitched squeals of dipshits when I rape them in space.
