Although not really being into the online gaming community, I can understand where you're coming from mainly by how amazingly popular multiplayer games like Mario Kart 64 still are amongst my friends when you crack them out. It's amazing how many people still view these games with fondness despite their age, so your discovery isn't that surprising at all. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing.

Star Wars: Battlefront II

One of the best games ever (IMO)!

When are they going to make III?

I think they're making it as we speak. There was a trailer back in January, but there was never a release date.

Last I heard it had been tossed, but I may be wrong. I better be wrong, Battlefront and Battlefront 2 both hold fond memories, I'd love to see a third.

Amazing that you guys think its old. Yeah it was made a while ago, but until Diablo 3 comes around its the only thing they have. So I doubt it would be that surprising. As for Warcraft 3, same thing.

Well,I consider everything circa 2001 and before old especially things relating to computers. The game HAS to be good or people wouldn't play it still. there's no new BIA game out and no one plays hell's highway anymore. Also,people still play the old counterstrike over source. It's just a really good game that's surprisingly unique. Also there's similar games like Neverwinter Nights and Bauldar's gate.
