Playing Soul Caliber 4 as Zaslamel and seeing his attack that launches foes in the air behind him. I thought, "wouldn't it be great if I could do it again?" So I tried flipping back through the air before they hit the ground and the pancake flipper was born.

Nightmare + the Triangle button + forward on Soul Calibur 2. This was especially galling after I'd spent ages mastering the combo moves of Talim, painstakingly getting better at Guard Impact, dodging attacks, mastering the 8wayrun/horizontal strike/vertical strike/guard/throw combat system.

Nope.

Most effective way to defeat the AI is to charge forwards, and keep hitting triangle. If they try to side-step, square once or twice.

Bloody annoying.

Pwning Evergreen Mills in Fallout 3. I went to Mothership Zeta and Operation:Anchorage right at the beginning of the game after doing the Rivet City run. I then went south to get the Nuka-Cola challenge early, so that whenever I found Nuka Cola Quantum I could fast travel back to Girdershade. From there, I just went west to Evergreen Mills. (Keep in mind, I am only a level 8 or 9 at this point) I snuck up behind Evergreen Mills on the cliffs above the buildings. If you try this, save your game on the cliffs, cause this will get frustrating if you don't. Anyway, There is a spot to the far left of the biggest building where you can jump from the cliffs to the building. Sneak around on top as best you can. You will get spotted, no way to avoid it. Jump to the forward left building and carefully go up to the edge. Make sure you are carrying the most powerful weapons you have. Now, shoot the generator keeping the Behemoth in his cage. Have him and the raiders kill each other. There will be some raiders left to mop up, but as long as you keep an eye on the Behemoth's health and make sure you deal the killing blow, you can still get the achievement for killing all of them. It's the easiest way to get to the terrible shotgun.

KOTOR II, the end fight.
I made a huge minefield on one of those narrow bridges and got the flying lightsabers to fly in it and die. I wasn't sure it would work as they were not actually touching the ground and G0T0 didn't activate mines either.
A good surprise though, it spared me much fighting.

The first time I tried using the bomb and the arrow at the same time in Links Awakening, that was my reaction.

Gears of War vs Boomers.
Stick one grenade to em and see em splatter.

Halo 3 vs Hunters stick a spike grenade to their backs... And see em splatter.

See a pattern here? :p

I also got that feeling everytime in Halo (all of em) when I got the warthog in the strangest places.

Underground bunkers... On top of Scarabs.. Been there!

Earthbound is by far my largest one. To avoid any spoilers I went through the last boss and decided to do as much damage as I could to him. Ness, had to have done over 1m damage to him. I battled for 45 mins non stop. Franklin badge deflecting his own lightening attacks at me back onto himself. Plus my damage which was pretty high. I used all my ressurects and mostly on my ninja. Between Ness and ninja boy, we were throwing massive damae at him. Anyways, I do this until I die. ABout 30 mins in, thinking to myself "I ain't doing something I am suppose to do obviously, what could it be?" I get mad thinking "he should be dead".
Once I die, I go back and just try a bunch of stuff.

I finally used "pray".

Beat the final boss in under 5 mins. After saying "That actually works?" I was a little mad at the time I had spent before trying to beat him. My first attempts to beat the boss probably compile to as much as 2-3 hours of fighting just him.

Using bottles to deflect the dead man's volley in some of the zelda games. Also, I have had a bunch of these moments in the elder scrolls and metal gear solid games.

Fighting the Archdemon at the end of DA:O. I was the only one still alive (I didn't think to use my armies for some reason) so I ran away and fired the ballistas at him. I wasn't expecting it to work, but then it did and I was happy. :D

I felt cheap though.

Arkham Asylum. I started using explosive jell on people. First on the Harley mission. I waited for them to charge me, put the jell down, set the explosive off, and one guy flew fifty feet into the air then out into the bottomless pit that was behind me. The thugs might have only stopped because the jell confused 'em, but it just seemed like everyone stopped and stared as the guy flew away.

I was at school, and I tried to play Doom from my flash drive. However, I needed a password to run the game. I remembered that the username of the Admin was the same as the librarians. I also knew her password was Debbie. So I entered that, and it worked like a charm. Many lulz were had between me and my opponent.

I have just downloaded Steam just to chceck if my account works because I have lost Orange box long ago so now Im kinda happy too see that I can just download games I should have. I think Im going to love Steam. :)
MAYBE you'll like it.

I loved steam... until I realized that you don't actually own any of your games and they could "decide" that you never actually bought them.

They demanded I pay another $100+ for games I already owned. Pist me off so bad.

Now I only use Steam for special deals or games I couldn't find some place else (like KOTOR).

Just be sure you're aware of their status as a monopoly! Or you may be next.....
They're not a monopoly. Monopolies are illegal, as there are many other places to purchase games.
