Yeah, I'm not kidding

Apparently the dark dungeons of \v\ were so moved by the Nintendo Treehouse Direct that they made a collage for Nintendo. How often does that happen?

In any case, I'm curious to see what others thought about the Treehouse Direct as well. I thought that it was great because it showed gameplay videos for hours on end. But I'm curious to see what others thought about it.

reminds me of that time they went to Valve's office to celebrate Gabe Newell's birthday, they gave him a hat (tough made him pay for the key to open the box in which it was stored hehe) and a collage of contratulatory messages

It's not that uncommon, they also made one for Kojima once I think. And only recently they sent a get well card to Iwata.

I honestly don't know why people are that surprised by stuff like that. Does anyone honestly think that 4chan is full of assholes just because they call each other bad names over the internet? Actions speak louder than words ;)

More on Topic: E3 seemed incredibly boring to me this year. There was very little stuff interesting to me. Nintendo's Treehouse was probably indeed the best part of E3 for me. Even though I don't own a WiiU it was still nice to watch.

People still hate on 4chan? Dunno why, it's a fuckin' funhouse if you browse around it at 1am and later.

Well I was convinced good things could come from the dark corner of the Internet known as 4chan the moment Katawa Shoujo was released years ago. Was that /v/, /b/ or /a/ responsible for that masterpiece? Probably a combo of all three.

Seriously, how could a group of strangers band together to successfully complete a project that let's be honest, should have been tasteless at best and insulting at worst. It's a Visual Novel about disabled kids, it should have been a disaster. Why was it one of the best written stories of the year in fact, why does it outclass any other VN i've played aside from Grisaia no Kaijitsu? (Grisaia is in its own special league, nothing is going to beat that i'm sorry.) Someone answered me with a simple "because they cared" once and I would have to agree.

This. When a board such as /v/, /a/ or even /b/ puts their mind to it they can create some pretty damn good stuff. Like that re-creation of the MGSV trailer and the card to Iwata /v/ did a week or so ago. And since it's all anonymous nobody actually gets any credit for the good things they do so, unlike places such as Reddit, you don't get people doing stuff only for likes, upvotes, etc.

Of course 4chan has also done some shit before, but basing your opinion of an entire website over a bunch of 15 year olds on /b/ is kinda silly.

I really enjoyed the treehouse presentations. It showed off a ton of content and has me excited for games like Devil's Third and, Code Name S.T.E.A.M. I'm also curious to see what Project Giant Robot and, Project...Guardian I think are going to eventually become. I'm hoping PGR becomes a revived Teleroboxer honestly...

What are all these different sections of 4chan about? I've never been too the site only heard of it, generally only the bad things about it, but what's all the /v/ /a/ /b/ about?

OT: Those are some cool thoughtful things they've done.
Those are the different boards, such as the Escapist has a Gaming Discussion or Off Topic section, 4chan has multiple boards that you can go on, meaning you can actually be in places safe from the more outrageous stuff you might see, or go on boards that you can be as ridiculous and crazy as you possibly can, because you can. It's all separated by interests, so there are video game sections, board game sections, anime sections, mechanics, literature, music, porn, more porn, slightly different porn, aliens, and basically whatever else you want.
