In ways of good endings, I pick:
Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare
They all went down fighting in the end. A car chase as you try to shoot off several pursuers who are in turn trying to ram you off the road, shoot you full of holes and blow you off track with a RPG. Then the helicopter comes and blows up the bridge, which eventually leads to an oil tanker exploding, incapacitating everyone except Griggs, who dies trying to bring you to better cover. Imran comes and starts executing you remaining squadmates, and comes for you. Friendly russian troops come and distract him, giving you the chance to kill him and his guards.
Of you and your squadmates, only you live to tell the tale.
BioShock - the 'Good' ending is just so heartwarmingly sweet and satisfying.

Eh, too tired to post more. Maybe tomorrow I'll put more.

Life on Mars. Look it up on wikipedia, I was all like "WTF?".
Yeah, that was a weird ending.

OT: Probably the end to ODST as some have said before. To me, it just felt like something was missing. Dunno what, to me it was a bit of an anti-climax..

Stephen King's book "Cell" made me cringe. Don't get me wrong, most of King's books end up with that to be continued? But this one just went (and I'm not joking) "Wake up Jakey (or whatever the son's name was), it's your daddy."

When Dumbledore dies.
I already read the books but that is just inconsiderate to someone who has not read the books and plans to.

OT: I can't really think of anything right now, though I might later.

Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. Not so much the ending as the story after about half way through the third book. It just falls apart and I was like "Really? That's it? All that build up, for THAT?". After 2 excellent books and more than its fair share of hype it was just massively disappointing.
What about the godawful film they made? Seriously, for the ending to THAT they decide to take out the entire climactic ending of the book and save it for the next film, while having the movie ending be nothing more than a literal fade-to-black, seriously, there is no fucking ending! It just stops!

I haven't read the books in a while but I remember quite liking the books, I remember the very ending of the last book, and the last 4 words spoken "The Republic of Heaven", but not much besides that, oh except the names of Will and Lyra's Daemons.

A bad book ending from a bad book is John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, it's a crap read the entire way through but the ending does, as Yahtzee puts it, come out of nowhere like a fucking cockslap.

Bad game ending, bad game ending......Oh, I was gonna say Crackdown as well but I'll see your Crackdown and Raise you Too Human. I was expecting a lot more hours of gameplay than that.

{the ship just kinda flies away and your left sitting there like...its over?}
I agree with both. I just finished 1984 for school and it was...interesting. I also agree with kotor 2.

I've come across a few.

This one puzzled me. It was the third book in a trilogy which had been really good and different, and it just felt like the author got tired. In a series where the character's actions mattered, the books stank of Deus Ex Machina. Worse, after establishing its internal logic in the previous books, this volume pulls a 180 and changes everything without explanation. I think he was trying to write a twist ending, but it just came off like an ass pull.

It came out of nowhere. So...you face down the big bad, recover the piece of Eden and then...nothing. What? I know there's a sequel, but the dev team didn't know if there would be. Zero resolution in an otherwise decent title.

Or maybe the end of dragon ball GT(yes I know, GT was not good compared to DB/DBZ). I was like wtf, no more?
Really? I thought that ending was great. I felt closure after seeing that ending. After all, all good things must come to an end.

Oh! Oh! I am legend. The ending shown in theatres.

I mean, seriously, what the fuck? You just invalidated half the movie, disregarded everything you've built up to this whole time, and just turned an amazing movie (with the correct ending), to a random piece of very bad hollywood action.

Oblivion. Martin dies and......OK, so now what? Did they expect me to run around and explore caves for no reason afterward?

the ending of the claymore anime.

i have yet to see a more infuriating ending.
the whole story had been working up to the main character killing this awakened being, and first of all they didn't do it, and secondly they then left with saying effectively: this has a conclusion somewhere, but fuck you. i've never seen anything as vague as they managed to make that ending in my life.
read the manga when i watched the anime it made me rage because THATS NOT THE ENDING. they actually changed what happened in the "War in the North Saga" which effected the ending. i suppose its because they only had a budget big enough for only 26 episodes that they were forced to do that. same goddamn thing happened to Hellsing.

Winston finally succumbs to O'Brien's brain washing. He becomes his own worst enemy, by ratting out Julia and rejoicing that Oceania has "won the war with East Asia".

I did not understand the ending to Great Expectations by Charless Dickens. I know what Pip did to himself, but the ending is still weird nonetheless
