Wait... what!?

Literally a minute ago someone called my house phone. I notice it says Unknown Name, Unknown Number but I ignore it and pick up. It started with Darth Vader breathing and already I was confused. Then it started repeating lines from the movie that I figured were from a soundboard.
Since my best friend does this all the time I assumed it was him and said, "Very funny Robert". The dialogue continued and I was wierded out. "Robert, seriously cut it out" I said. But more lines. Finaly, just when I was going to hang up I rhought I heard the phone say, "You've just be called by PrankCalls.com".

What the hell was that?

So I ask you fellow Escapists, has this ever happened to you?

Being called by PrankCalls.com? No, I don't even know this site. Anthough I'd love to be called by Darth Vader... or a heavy breathing stranger, I'm not that picky.

No but we did rile up my old College teacher with a prank call like that saying his daughter killed the neighbors dog........lost the recording though

Someone just prank called you? If someone comes up to you and asks you if you got any weird phone calls yesterday while sniggering uncontrollably, then you know who it was. Otherwise, it was probably a load of drunk people calling a random number.

i've had something similar happen. i was on a bus heading home after seeing some friends and my mobile (cell) rang and it said i should be able to see some planes. i looked and there was nothing there. it said 'see them' but i carried on looking and it then said 'what do you mean, no?' and carried on even though i didn't say anything. my 'friends' that did it were able to hear everything but it didn't work very well

My junior year at college I had the phone extension 666 and received prank calls in the dead of night several times. Not surprisingly many had an attempted Satan or devil theme. They were all pretty blatant and I'd just hang up on them after a few seconds, perhaps my lack of response is why I didn't get more of them.


Still I did complain to the school and they retired the phone number the following year.

Actually one time my caller ID labeled the number as Spam. That was funny.

Once, I go a call from a Bobby Joe asking me if I wanted to go to bible camp with him. I'm pretty sure it was a wrong number, but funny nonetheless.

Nope i've never gotten an actual prank call from peoples. However i have messed with my fair share of telemarketers from time to time.

Nope. I understand that (quite some time ago) for about a week, a couple of douchebag teenagers kept calling our house at midnight, but I slept through it each time. Just heard my parents complaining the next day. Not sure how we got them to stop....

Wait, was this like some sort of robocall system... for making prank calls? Are people really so lazy they can't make their own damn prank calls and have to delegate some website to make a call that, if I may be frank, just sounds weirder than it does funny?
