MUST. RESIST.

Though in all seriousness, I think those jokes have kind of died out. I haven't heard one for years. I am interested to know if anyone outside the UK actually knows of our (delightful) neighbours too. For no real reason.

My Welsh friend makes those jokes about himself, and I go along with them.

This should be in the Off-Topic forum. I've moved it there.

I think Wales passes quite heavily under the radar of countries like the US or Canada. They think of the whole island as Britain, and then sometimes call it England.

When I was on holiday in America some of the people I spoke too had no idea where Wales was and when I explained to them where it was they said 'Oh so your from England?' *facepalm

Why do Welsh sheep farmers like to screw sheep on the edge of cliffs? Because they push back so nicely

I know nothing of Wales.

But the people living there are called Welshman I believe.
Which reminds me of class and dignity.

And this...

Also I'm from The Netherlands.

Wales is that western part of England inhabited by inbred rednecks with funny accent right?
No, I think you are thinking of what is known as the West Country, which while it does sport some very funny accents and some possible inbreeding, is very much still part of England. Wales is not part of England.

I am an American and I know of Wales. I don't know much about it besides that its part of the United Kingdom and that its flag has a bitchin' red dragon on it.
