Now this guy is either the best god damn troll in existence...or he has just broke physics...

Like seriously...My mind has just been blown...

Awesome camera trickery?, Animation? Or pure epic win?

I mean when he pops it...it's just...wow...

Anyway, have you guys seen anything similar?

Seeing as how 100% of the uploader's 25 videos are VFX demos... I think the answer is pretty obvious.
I apologize if this realization has broken your heart/crushed your dreams.

I know its fake, but a part of me still wants to try it out in the blind hope that its real. Damn my childlike sense of curiosity and wonder. :C

100% sure that guy is a genius to get people into spilling water all over their home over and over again for an obvious fake trick.

CG.

Not a possible trick. At first I thought he was going to suspend a tiny column of water by holding the cup slightly above the table-- but no, the magic shimmering inverted cup of magic water is not possible.

Then the man is a genius!

I tried this and got it on my thirty-first try. I can confirm that it is definitely real. It does take loads of practice though. I'd say it's even trickier than juggling. I urge you not to lose hope and to be persistent. You'll get it eventually too.

That looks strange but water is an odd substance. I?m guessing he?s using distilled for a reason. Hmm... I want to try it but I am clumsy.

Your first hint that it's probably fake is the fact that the spinning water doesn't cause any extra oblateness once the glass is removed.

Fake. Water holds it's shape, but not as well as that. Cool camera trick, and yes I want to learn it...but it's not possible as described.

Sadly, this definitely seems fake. I would love for it to be real, but if the reflection[footnote]God, I feel so horrifically hipster/troll/generally douche-like right now for saying that[/footnote] doesn't tip you off, then the fact that they don't fill it to the brim should. If it were to ever work, then you'd have to have the glass full to keep the surface tension.

Still, kudos to the guy for a well made video, and the effects really are quite good. I think the outtakes are the part that make it seem so nearly real.

Physics says it's fake. Spinning makes things fly outwards, it doesn't keep them in.
