Water is an odd substance because of its tension and the fact that it expands when it?s cold unlike most substances. There are you happy? I elaborated.

Personally, I think clear gelatin and distilled water that has been put in the freezer. My favorite water trick is instant snow using boiling water.

I don't know if the feat itself is possible. I guess it could be given the right conditions. That being said, given how (not that) fast the guy was spinning is his hand, how long the water kept its shape and was spinning, and how perfectly the water kept shape, I would say it's pretty obviously fake.
