"I like a good fight, ok? Besides, these guys are never any threat really. And they come after me, so I might as well get used to them." Kenna said, pacing around the man.
"Sure, sure. Although, you don't need to be a priest, or a nun, to be close to God. God accepts all who desire what he provides, after all." the man replied as he let Kenna walk where she may. He then started hacking all the daemons apart, whistling again as he did.
Vinyl was walking around the place again and happen stanced upon stumbling into the church. "They have a church, an arena, a lounge and an apartment complex but I can't find a single bathroom!"
"Why do you feel distanced from God? And, tis far better to be safe, than to be sorry when it comes to daemons and the like." the man said as he glanced over his shoulder at Kenna, flashing a wide smile.
"Not really distanced, I just don't go to church. And there's a difference between double-tapping and MUTILATION." Kenna said, starting to get creeped out by this guy as the rush of the fighting left her.
"I just don't really care, alright? And double tapping is just checking that they're not playing dead. What you're doing there, chopping them up... that's going into psycho territory."
Seeing what was happening in the church or whatever the fuck Kenna and psycho priest were in, Carmen was laying back in the lounge, taking a small sip of something red from a teacup. She didn't seem overly interested in what Jarron and Elric were talking about as she kept her eyes to the screen. Well... that was interesting at least... I do wish that priest would've done a more thorough job though... I can still see their souls floating around.
Carmen's wings tensed a small amount in annoyance once the little girl suddenly yelled. She let out a small sigh and looked down to Shi from where she was sitting, one leg crossed over the other. "That's great for you, but could you try to use your 'inside voice'? It's not nice to talk over other people's conversations." She said, in a somewhat stern and yet motherly tone as she pointed toward the other two inhabitants speaking.
"Huh? I don't understand what you mean." Shi said in a marginoally quieter voice.
"Some call me The Paragon, some call me The Purifier, some call me The Pacifist." he stopped to grin, "But you can simply call me Father Patrick Kilgore."
"Kilgore? A fitting name I admit..." Kenna said, looking at the bodies. "Anyway, we were gonna look around before these guys showed up. Might as well continue that, right?"
Carmen pointed to the large lizard and the NCO official talking across the room. "Those two. I'm afraid your voice may have disturbed them... which is why they're so quiet now." She leaned in and whispered in Shi's ear as she laid out her teacup and the plate she was holding it on onto the table in front of her. [small] "I was listening to them for a moment or two... I was curious to learn more." [/small]
"It's a traditional Irish name, I assure you. And yes, we might as well." Patrick said with a nod, keeping his axe out.
"Oooooh...What are you drinking? Tea? What kind of tea? I bet it's tea. How often do you drink tea? What's your favorite kind?" Shi asked in rapid fire.
Carmen blinked and sighed a bit. Completely ignored that, didn't she...? Looking to the teacup, she blinked a bit before smiling to herself. "Do you want to take a sip then? Just mind your fingers, it's a bit hot." She said, motioning to the cup.
