"Why don't you come out and say that to me in person?" Ragnar roared when he heard the announcement. "How did you get me out of the Fang? And where the Warp is my wargear?"

"Whatever equipment you may need can be found in the locker rooms, just outside the arnea propper." The anouncer Ragnar, ignoring his first question. "Any other questions you have will be answered if you rank first by the time the tournament is over. Be warned, however, failure to fight at least once per week will result in the termination of the facilities provided."

"Do you expect us to believe you'll do as you say, rather then just keep pulling new people from who knows where to fight?" Solaris questioned, once more with a bemused expression.

"Wherther you believe it or not isn't important. We've informed you adequately, and expect you follow the rules of conduct from now on. Good day." With that, the anouncement ended.

Ragnar immediately snapped his gaze toward the locker room.

"It's like that, is it? Fine. You want to watch your champions die first, that's up to you." Hearing Solaris's accusation he chuckled grimly.

"If they keep sending more, I'll kill 'em until they have no one left to send. Then they'll deal with me personally."

"Nice to see you all raring to go." Solaris remarked dryly as she sat back down. "But as this is an "interdimensional" arena, there may be practically no end to the amount of people they can bring here. Furthermore, I, for one, don't very much feel like fighting random strangers simply because someone without a face or name says I should."

Ness was in the Lounge still talking with Shi and exhibiting an amazing amount of patience with the girl before shrieking a small bit once Ragnar started ripping the wire out of the wall. The yelp she let out was quickly muffled as she covered her mouth with both her hands and took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself down before awkwardly scratching her head and getting up to walk toward the wall. "...I'll patch this up in a bit..." She said, starting to gather up the rubble into a neat pile with her hands.

Hearing Ness, and seeing her gather up the pieces of plaster, Solaris raised an eyebrow. "Why would you wish to restore damaged propperty of your captors... Unless you're a member of staff here." She said, then leaned forward on the stool, narrowing her eyes. "Are you?"

"It's the sort of thing sagas are made of." Ragnar replied with savage anticipation. "To carve your way through another dimension and die a glorious death, or win free and unmake the abominations that rule it entirely. It would be a legendary tale to bring back to Fenris!" He turned to look down bemusedly at Ness.
"Are you a serf? I had you figured for another captive."

Ness looked back toward Ragnar and Solaris before shaking her head. "I'm not part of the staff here... or a serf..." She took out a pen-like device from her pocket and began to draw a symbol on the pile of rubble, frequently looking from the symbol to the hole in the wall as she drew.

"I just don't like seeing things left broken. And to be honest, this bar is more ours than their's. This is the only place to relax in aside from our rooms and staying cooped up in there for a week or two alone is... worse than having to fight people here..." She said, scratching the back of her head again.

"Oh. I imagine it would be." Ragnar agreed, before shrugging and glancing at the tv screen.
"Yes... I can play their game, for a while. It may be a nice warm up." With that he turned to the hallway.
"Now, to see to my wargear. I will be back shortly." He said to Solaris and Ness as he went to find his equipment.

Solaris rolled her eyes in response to Ragnar, although gave no verbal response herself. She did, however, make a mental note of his desire for battle and glory. Seeing Ness take out the pen, and begin to scribble on the rubble, Solaris looked more curious, prompting her to stand up, and approach. "An odd way of looking at it, I must say." She said as she looked down to what Ness was scribbling while crossing her arms. "How long have you been here?"

Ragnar strode into the locker room, throwing aside his massive wolf pelt as he did so. Searching the rows for a sufficiently bulky container, he marched towards it and flung it open to reveal a robust suit of blue-grey power armour, with a howling wolf's head painted on one broad pauldron and the golden winged skull of the Adeptus Astartes stretched across the front. At it's side was the four foot long chainsword that he was coming to favour so much as well as a standard issue bolter, it's own skull motif gleaming proudly on the black adamantium of the gun's body. Ragnar grinned broadly, as he always did when laying eyes on the holy artifacts.

OOC: I'm just going to say that a servitor was brought with the suit, so that he can put it on in some kind of time.

As Solaris looked down, if she knew alchemy, she'd notice it was a kind of transmutation circle that Ness was drawing on the rubble. "How long....? A week or two, I'd say...." Ness said, sighing a bit as she completed the circle and placed a hand onto the circle. It lit up and the mass of rubble lit up a small bit before a pop was heard and the rubble took the rough shape of the hole.

Ness blinked as she looked back to the hole and to her newly transmuted pile before getting up and dragging the wire back toward to where it belonged in the wall. "And yes, I guess it's odd, but I'm not powerful enough on my own to take these people down myself... so I've got to make due for now and hope I can bust everyone out if I manage to win somehow." She smiled a bit at Solaris before sticking her pen into her labcoat pocket and extending the same hand toward the woman. "I'm Vanessa by the way. Nice to meet you."

Indeed knowing alchemy, Solaris recognised the symbol being a transmutation circle, confirming what she half expected when she saw Ness scrubble on the rubble. An alchemist? Now this is interesting... "I suppose you're right. It wouldn't be wise to take on what is likely an orginisation of considderable size without information on them anyway." Solaris commented as she watched Ness work. Once Ness turned to Solaris, and extended a hand, Solaris smiled, and shook it. "You may have heard already, but I'm Solaris." She stated, pulling her hand away afterwards. "What you did just there. That was alchemy, wasn't it?" She asked, sounding curious. Looking to Solaris, Ness might recognise the Ouroboros tattoo on Solaris' sternum.

Ness nodded a small bit, smiling as the women shook hands. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Solaris." Once Solaris stopped, the fedora girl grunted and picked up the rubble mass and set it into the hole before taking out the pen and drawing another circle. She looked back to Solaris as she worked, seeming less worried about precision this time around. "Right... but trying to get info is a very dry endeavor in a situation like this." Her eyes drifted toward the Ouroboros tattoo and she blinked before looking to Solaris. "That tattoo... Where did you get it?" She said, her voice sounding neutral as she turned back to focus on the circle.

"Better then play straight into their hands, I'm sure." Solaris commented, then looked down to her tattoo as Ness mentioned it. "You recognise it, do you?" She asked, looking back to Ness. "I've had more people ask me that. I saw the mark in a book about alchemy once, and thought it would make for a nice tattoo, so I had it done." She explained. Once more, even as she was lying, the words came out of her mouth fluently, with nothing verbally to indicate it was a lie. "Oh... And you may wish to pay closer attention to how you draw your circle. If it isn't perfect, the power won't flow properly, and there'll be a rebound." She added upon seeing the decrease in precision, wondering how skilled Ness was in alchemy upon noting this.

"...But you know what that symbol represents, don't you?" Ness said as she completed her circle. As he placed her hands on it once again, there were a few small sparks that shot out from the circle, but not much more as the cracks around the rubble finally disappeared. Ness gave the newly repaired wall a set of taps before sighing a bit. "The operation for this circle wasn't as intense as the reforming the rubble, so I could afford to let a few little slips go." She replied to Solaris' warning as she scratched the back of her head a bit.

"Regardless of complexity, one should always avoid a rebound. Even in the simplest of operations, the results of a rebound can be... unpleasant for the alchemist." Solaris commented, then returned to her seat, and sat back down crosslegged. Resting her left albow on the bar counter behind her, she rested her head against her fist, and nodded slightly in response to Ness' first question. "Of course. It's the Ouroboros, representing infinity, and the hexagram representing human creation. Used together, they represent the creation of a perfect being - A Homonculus. It's an interesting story, I've always found." She explained, then smiled. "But it's just that, a story. The Homonculus is a theory at best, no alchemist has ever been successful in creating one."

From where you're from, that's true.... Ness nodded, sighing internally before looking toward the bar and pouring herself a glass of soda and taking a sip. "The theory is pretty interesting... However, I'm not sure a Homonculus being 'perfect' is entirely correct, even in theory." She said, sitting down a seat away from Solaris and looking toward the ceiling. "A truly immortal being shouldn't be able to be created from mortal components... That makes enough sense, doesn't it?"

"The law of Equivalent Exchange would dictate as such, yes. Similarly, life can't be created out of noting. And even if one would be able to create the body, it would still lack a soul." Solaris responded, initially not looking to Ness. Standing up, Solaris walked back to behind the bar, and picked up the wine bottle again, then sat back down and refilled her glass. "However..." Stuffing the cork back into the bottle, and setting it down, Solaris picked up her glass, then looked back to Ness. "Should one be in possession of a Philosopher's Stone, one is said to be able to bypass that law entirely, making the impossible possible." Having said that, Solaris took a sip from her drink, and chuckled lightly. "This too, is little more then a children's bed time story, however. Attempts at creating such a thing haven't been successful either."
