"So... They've practically discovered the secret of immortality, have they? I did see an out-of-place machine in the immitation of my room, but I didn't stop to inspect it." Solaris questioned, her scowl replaced by a look of curiousity. Taking another sip from her glass, she turned on her stool to face Carmen. "And here you here, saying there weren't any more suprises to this place... Assuming this is true." At Carmen's final question, Solaris looked more curious. She finished her wine, and set it down on the bar counter, tapping the rim of it with her index finger. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Immortality in a sense... You still need to die for that thing to activate and it'd wager a guess that it only works once you're slain in the Arena, though I'm obviously not willing to test that myself." Carmen said, looking to Solaris. "It wouldn't have been a surprise for long. Once you would've killed someone, it would have been obvious." Her eyes narrowed a small bit as she lowered her voice again. [small] "You know full well, dear. One doesn't just happen on a mass of souls like that by accident... especially since you have no soul of your own." [/small]

There was a sound of heavy, thudding footfalls in the hall, and subtle vibrations in the floor that matched the pace. A moment later, Ragnar appeared in the doorway. Though he had been an impressive sight to behold before, now he appeared positively awe-inspiring. Where before he had simply worn a pair of cloth trousers, he was now clad in massive blue-grey plate armour that enclosed his entire body save for his head. On the left pauldron, which alone looked too heavy for Carmen or Lust to lift, an icon of a snarling wolf with a bloody muzzle was displayed in stark white paint on the dark background. The expansive front of the cuirass sported a gleaming gold skull framed with feathered wings, and under his left arm was a grim looking helm with red optic lenses and a vox-grille framed by a wolf's toothy maw. sheathed on his left leg was the chainsword that he spoke of before, and in his right hand he loosely held a massive, boxy firearm that would have been difficult for a human to lift, let alone fire.

"What is this? More alien trickery?" He asked, nodding at the screen that now showed a dramatically different landscape in the arena.

"Twist it all you like, it would've still been a suprise." Solaris commented dryly, then blew a sigh, and shook her head, stopping with tapping the rim of the glass. And this is an annoying suprise, too... "I think you may have had one drink too many... You're not making a whole lot of sense here." She said, leaning back by a small amount.

Hearing the heavy footsteps coming down the hallway, Solaris looked up, towards it. When Ragnar, donning his armour, walked through, Solaris' eyes widened. What in the hell...? Recomposing herself, she shook her head once more, before looking to the screen. "Yes The... scenery changes before the start of each battle, so it seems."

Carmen looked over toward Ragnar, eyebrows raised for a moment or two before looking back to Solaris. "I just thought that would've been something you would've wanted to figure out on your own. Having someone tell you everything can't be as fun as self-teaching." Carmen tilted her head a bit. All I want is a straight answer... Is that so bad? "Now that I think about it... there's like... three of you..." She tilted her head more as she took another drink and made it look like her cheeks were a little flushed.

OOC: Oh. Forgot to mention. His massive wolf pelt is now draped over his armour, stretched over the shoulders and hanging down his back.

Ragnar bared his teeth again as he watched Lust's expression of surprise. Though it would look like a grin to her, it would also draw attention away from the slight wrinkling of his nose as he picked up her scent again. Though she was beautiful, there was definitely a stench from her, and he made a note to find out more about her. Though he would not draw his weapon based on an unfamiliar odour, it was not for nothing that other Space Marines respected the especially enhanced senses of the Space Wolves.

"Everything alright?"He asked somewhat teasingly, before looking back to the screen and stroking his short beard thoughtfully. "I've heard of jungles like that before, but never seen one yet. May be an interesting new place to fight in."

"Yes... I didn't expect you to come back in what amounts to a bipedal tank, that's all." Solaris responded to Ragnar in a joking manner in turn, looking to his wolfish grin for a moment as he bared his teeth, before looking to his eyes. "By the time you enter the arena, the surroundings will be different again, from what I've seen. It's chosen at random."

"As I keep saying, I don't see this as fun. To say that I veiw this as a bother would be putting it lightly, and with every new reveal, I grow more annoyed at the situation." Solaris said casually, looking back to Carmen, raising an eyebrow at Carmen's cheecks now looking flushed when they weren't before. "Maybe you should have some coffee, instead... If someone were to challange you now, you'd be at a disadvantage. Even if you wouldn't die, you'd still move down the score board."

Whether it was from Ragnar's noisy entrance, or Lapis' prolonged poking, Jerrog finally awoke from his nap on the couch, sleepily waving away the end of Lapis' staff that was still jabbing into the side of his snout. "Agh, I'm awake. Whaddya want now?" He grunted with annoyance as he lazily sat back up.
"It's about time. Get up Jerrog. We have to look around to see if any more of our Clan has wound up here."
"Maybe it'd be faster if'n we split up and searched."
Lapis brought a hand to her chin and glanced off in a random direction. "I suppose it's not an idea entirely without merit."
"Glad ya see it moi way." Jerrog commented as he flopped back onto his back, once again taking up the entire length of the sofa. "I'll search around in this here room. See if anyone shows up."
Lapis sighed in annoyance and shook her head. "I suppose it's the best I can get from you. I'll search the rest of the facility. If anyone shows up here, do not let them go wandering off, understand?"
"Yeah yeah, I got it."
"Good." Lapis turned and exited the room, giving everyone else in it a polite nod and a "Good day." As she walked by them.

Briefly glancing over her shoulder, looking to Jerrog, as she overheard the conversation between him and Laspis, Solaris raised an eyebrow. My... He's almost as bad as Sloth.

"A good day to you, too." Solaris responded, somewhat distant-mindedly, as Lapis greeted her upon leaving. In the brief moment she was near Solaris, Lapis would feel a sense of uneasiness, as she too would pick up on the inhuman pressense Solaris emitted.

"Heh. Most humans react that way when they first see a Space Marine." Ragnar replied, shifting the wolf's head hanging from his shoulder. "Never gets old." He nodded to Lapis as she passed him, catching sight of the golem standing immobile in the corner as he did so. "Huh. Ugly piece of furniture. This place could do with a bit more eye catching decoration. And a few casks of Mjod while they're at it." He went back to scanning the screen, looking for combatants in the dense foliage. "Bah. What is the point of displaying their battles if they're just going to cover it up with trees?"

"Oh, that thing?" Solaris questioned as she followed Ragnar's glance towards the golem when he made mention of it. "That one's alive, for all intents and purposes. It must've fallen asleep." She idly commented, then looked back to the Tv screen, now wholly desinterested. "Yes... I stopped paying attention to that a while ago."

"No..." Solaris said in response to Ragnar. She wanted to say more, but instead reconsiddered her words, wanting to aleviate her boredom by playing off Ragnar's supersticion, and hopefully sow some discord. "My brother told me about... things like this one here once. Golems, they were called, I think. They're made by taking a certain material, in this case stone, and either animating them with some form of magic, or by bonding a soul to it. This is the first time I've seen one myself..."

Ragnar listened attentively to what Solaris said, his scowl growing deeper and his teeth baring subconsciously as she went on. Living inorganic material, magical animation, souls bound into the material... the golem had looked unfamiliar to him, but this description was all too well known to many chapters of the Adeptus Astartes.

"Not mine. Such abominations are created by the Eldar using vile xeno sorcery, and used to bring ruin to the loyal servants of our Allfather, the Emperor." He turned on his heel, raising the huge gun in his hands to his shoulder.

"Only one way to deal with the works of the alien."

My. I believe that was a success. Solaris thought to herself as she supressed the urge to smirk when Ragnar raised his gurn. "It did seem rather dumb, going so far as to say it was willing to work for our captors... I wrote it off as mere stupidity then, but thinking about it now..." She stated, then intentionally trailed off, letting Ragnar's imagination fill in the blanks.

The golem just continued to stand there saying nothing. Though it's head started to slump down slightly

Ragnar was looking over his shoulder at Solaris as she spoke, but now turned to face the golem, his expression grim. Levelling his bolter he opened fire and raked the golem's chest with a burst of automatic fire, each of the rocket propelled shells exploding with the force of a small frag grenade where they struck.

... The sleeping golem explodes just leaving his head alive. "I was just sleeping! What did you do that for!"

With Ragnar firing the shots, Solaris, pressed her right hand on the bar counter, and vaulted over it for cover in case there would be further violence following. Ah, humans. Stupid, violent creatures. A few words, and they fly for eachother's throats... She thought, unable to supress her smirk any longer. You may not be... quite human, but you're just as ignorant.

Carmen flapped back and retreated as Ragnar fired off the shot and blew the golem to bits. She landed a few feet away from him, sliding back. ...Damn it... Her wings spanned out fully before reverting to their normal position behind her back.

Ness winced and rolled off the get once the blast sounded. She was still a bit tired and shambled behind the couch. ....Ugh.... I can't ever get a break, can I?
