Not looking down to the guitar as he played the chord, Eddie saw Malcor nock and aim the arrow, and rolled forwards diagonally out of the way as it was let loose, narrowly evading it. Rising to his feet and running towards Malcor as he collapsed and shakily rose to the ground, Eddie flung the guitar onto his back with practiced efficiency, and instead took hold of his axe. Nearing Malcor, Eddie flipped the axe around, and tried to deliver a fairly strong thrust with the end of the handle towards Malcor's stomach.

Malcor pushed with his arms, performing a radical push up that had him standing. he swung his bow down, deflecting the axe handle swing, and swung it out again, aiming to hit Eddie on the head.

Ragnar made a face of general acceptance, opting not to comment, and had a brief look around the room. Scowling at the flimsy looking chair, he sat down on the foot of the bed, the solid wood able to take his unarmoured weight with the minimum creaking.
"True. It's hard to know who can truly be trusted here. If we were in the Imperium, this place would have been purged by now. Xenos, daemons, Emperor only knows how many... less obvious heretics... I have not the experience to root those ones out, unfortunately. Still, once they show themselves, they can be dealt with easily enough." He noted the expression that she undoubtedly had by now. "But I'm guessing taht your fears are not quite the same as those."

Being thrown slightly off-balance by Malcor knocking the axe handle aside, Eddie couldn't avoid Malcor's follow-up attack. Being struck on the head, Eddie reeled backwards by a step before recovering his balance.

Swinging the axe around again, Eddie tried to hook Malcor's right ankle between the axehead and the ankle, and would try to trip him up by then pulling the axe towards himself. However, Eddie's movement was a tad slower then it was normally due to the blow to the head.

Looking towards her face, he'd see Solaris' expression was largely neutral, though with a slight uneasy expression on her face. "The demon? You mean that silver-haired woman?" She questioned, before blowing a small sigh. "I thought she was a decent enough person, at first, until I overheard her trying to goad someone into acts of murder. Which makes me all the more distrustful of those here. I thought I was a good judge of character, but she deluded me greatly.

As for my fears? Well, since dying is appearantly imposible here, my fear would be to be trapped here forever, I suppose."

Malcor jumped, pulling his bowstring back. he fired into Eddie's face, the white arrow possibly causing blindness. when he fell back to the ground he'd probably be hooked by the axe head. (gonna leave that up to you)

"Aye, they all do things like that. Filthy creatures. They thrive on suffering, disease, bloodshed and the most obscene pleasures indulgences of the flesh and senses. Some are adept at hiding themselves amongst those uneducated and unsuspecting of their presence. These are the worst of them, in some ways."

"Gah! Sanava--!" Eddie exclaimed when the arrow of light struck him in the face and blinded him, instinctively moving his free arm infront of his face. As this happened in mid-swing, Eddie still managed to hook Malcor's ankle with the axe, albeit not as securely as he would have liked. Feeling the axe connect, Eddie gritted his teeth, and pulled back on with the axe while taking a step back, not wanting to give Malcor much chance to take advantage of his successful attempt to blind Eddie.

Solaris initially hummed in response to Ragnar, before picking up her glass, and taking a sip from the drink. "I'm glad such things don't exist on my world. Or at least... That we know of." She responded, then chuckled lightly. "Or perhaps I should wish they did, since then I would be more expirienced with dealing with things like it."

Malcor's leg went along with the axe swing, and Malcor fell to the ground with a thump. he grit his teeth and swung a hand down, grasping a clump of grass and shoving his leg forward, attempting to pull it out of the axe's grip and kick Eddie.

Ragnar shook his head sharply.
[color-navy]"Never wish it!" He said firmly. "When daemons tighten their claws on a world, the results are always tragic. Millions, even billions sacrificed to their monstrous gods. And daemons are unnatural beings. We do not know all the ways that they can break through to our galaxy, or have the resources to stop it often. I do not know whether they can detect such treacherous wishes... but I would not tolerate anyone taking the risk back home."

With Eddie still blinking the stars out of his eyes after being blinded, and this not in a position to hold the axe in such an angle that pulling the leg back out would be difficult, Malcor was successful in freeing his leg. Soon after this, Eddie took a step forward, and tried to stomp on Malcor with his left foot with a fair amount of force. However, having only the sound of Malcor falling to go on, Malcor would be quite easily be able to evade this.

At the mention of the number of sacrifices made to the god of Chaos, Solaris' eyes widened with feigned shock. "Billions dead... My... I'm sorry, I had no idea." She said with something of an appolagettic tone. "I can see why such things shouldn't be alowed to roam free..." Glancing down to the ground for a moment, Solaris trailed off. "But how would you stop ruin like that here if those that are killed simply come back to life without so much as a scratch on them?"

Malcor rolled, stood, and watched Eddie, using a second sight to examine him. he nodded in satisfaction. Eddie would begin to have some trouble breathing, and have a badly running nose. His blindness would clear up, and if he looked to the tree that Malcor had shot at the beginning of the fight, he would see its leaves were taking a sickly color.

"Uh... yeah. I've been thinking about that one." Ragnar replied lamely. "I suppose I can only make certain that they are not declared champion of the arena, and the best way to do that is to win myself. I can do that. And it will undoubtedly be satisfying to butcher them a few times over as well."

With a last blink, Eddie's sighed returned to him, only to be replaced by a hayfeverish sensation. Grunting while occasionally sniffing to prevent snot from running down from his nose, Eddie raised the axe, and hrusted it downwards, trying to pin the arm in which Malcor held the bow between the left side of the axehead and the spike at the center of it. Focusing on Malcor, Eddie didn't notice what had become of the tree.

Solaris hummed softly once more, and took anoter sip from her drink before setting the glass back down again. "Wouldn't it be more efficient to try to destroy, or at least disable the machines that are responsible for the revivals?" She suggested. "And on the subject, I find those machines to be... dubious as well. How could someone possible be returned from the dead? This should be imposible!"

Malcor hand was caught between the spike and axehead, and he released the bow, pulling his hand away. He stepped forward and swung, changing tact and style of fighting. Eddie's nose would begin clogging as more snot was produced, and his sinuses would begin tightening, producing a dull ache in the head that would grow worse as time went on.

Rangar nodded gravely as he considered this.
"There is talk of such machines on Terra... the Emperor himself is sustained by such devices on the Golden Throne. Warp, even our own venerated dreadnought pilots live for millenia in their iron tombs with such machines. I have yet to hear of such a device that can restore the dead though. As to destroying those of the daemons and traitors... it is most dishonourable, cowardly way of slaying an opponent that I can think of. Then again, they are daemons, and our duty is technically supposed to outweigh our honour. Not that any self-respecting Space Wolf has ever taken that as an excuse to drag his own honour through the mud."

"You would still have to face the demon, the xeno or that crazed man in white armour in battle. I don't think they would suddenly drop dead if these machines were destroyed." Solaris commented. "I admit, this is hardly anything I know about. Even that box on the wall in the lounge that shows what happens during fights is technology that doesn't exist on my world. But, still. Considdering these revival machines are positioned not just in our suites, I doubt they actually keep the combattants alive post-revival, as apposed to only reviving them." With that said, Solaris decided to drop the subject, and let her words sink in to Ragnar's mind.

"Ah, but that's enough of that. I did't mean to make doom and gloom the main topic of conversation." She said with a smile. "I've been meaning to ask. That pelt you wear when not in your armour, what is that creature? It looks like a wolf, but much larger then anything I've ever seen."
After Malcor released the bow and pulled his hand back, Eddie once more tried to stomp on Malcor's chest in an attempt to wind him. His breathing started to become a little wheezy as the snot began clogging up his nose. Oh man. This isn't right... I gotta finish this quick, or chill for a moment to get rid of... whatever's going on here.

Ragnar considered the idea, but something about it rankled with him. He would see how futile the fighting proved to be, but made up his mind not to do it unless he had to. When Solaris changed the subject he took the chance eagerly.
"It is a wolf of a sort." He replied with a chuckle. "A Fenrisian thunderwolf. They run in packs among the smaller wolves on Asaheim. I killed this one with my knife when I was cast out into the wilderness after taking the Canis Helix." His face darkened suddenly. "Once upon a time, this beast may well have become one of my brothers. Thunderwolves are not natural wolves. They were men once, who were not strong enough to take the Canis Helix and survive its effects. They wander the froxen wilds now, feral and savage. Sometimes, even a battle brother hundreds of years old can fall to it, if it is particularly strong in his genes, or if he lets himself go too far in battle. Some of these wolves can be calmed to a degree, and we often use them in battle. But all too often, they can only be released on Asaheim, or given the Emperor's mercy."

Malcor gasped as the boot hit his chest, and reached up, grabbing onto the leg with both hands. He coughed, sucking air in, and glared up at Eddie.

As she noticed the hesitation on Ragnar's face prior to the change of subject, Solaris opted to raise the subject again another time. For now, she listened on as Ragnar explained the Thunder Wolf, from time to time, taking a sip from her drink. Once Ragnar finished speaking, she nodded. "I see... A man that became a beast. Poor creatures." Although she did not show it, Solaris was rather wierded out by Ragnar wearing the skin of what was once a human, it seeming morbid, even to her. She didn't dwell on these thoughts for long, however, instead opting to grasp the chance to potentially sow more seeds of animosity. "From what I understood, there is someone like here too. Someone that where the line between human and animal is blurred, that is."
Eddie did nothing to remove Malcor's hands from his leg, instead firmly placing his foot on Malcor's chest to minimize his recovery. Pulling his axe out of the ground, unless Malcor would manage to escape, Eddie would place the blade at Malcor's throat with something of a pained expression as his ligaments ached, and say, "Give up yet?"

Malcor grinned underneath his mask, and his nails turned into a bird's talons to claw at Eddie's knee, aiming to collapse him to the ground. "I shall surrender only once the disease has abated!"
at this point, the flu Eddie was feeling would have migrated to his lungs and stomach, leaving him with a stuffy nose and a sore throat as a remind to where it had been previously. Now, his lungs would ache to breathe, and he would feel the need to vomit.
