Hmm. It is a tragic fate. To have a warrior's saga end unexpectedly and shamefully. Some can be controlled -barely- and kept to use against the enemy, but most have to be released on Asaheim, or given the Emperor's mercy. Usually a brother will tell his brothers what to do with them if they should ever turn, usually after several kegs of mjod. Most ask to be left to Asaheim, but a few ask to be put down. It is... understandable, that a few might not wish to face such an existence."

Malcor smiled as he opened the door to his room. "As long as it doesn't involve me being hit by lightning again, I would be fine with this." inside was a small concrete cell, 6 feet by 6 feet. hanging from one wall was a number of torture implements, hooks and chains and clamps. Malcor moved towards the rear of the room, sighing in contentment. "just like home. shall we begin?"

"I personally wouldn't want it. I love Asaheim. I don't know why. All of Fenris is a horrible place, any sane mind can understand that, but the wilderness has... always appealed to me. Called to me, perhaps. I think that's where I should be if I were ever to turn. Would you want it? If you could somehow have taken the Canis Helix, that is. I think the wild would not hold the same appeal for you, hailing from a city as you do."

"Nah. That only happens the raw powers of metal are channeled in a speciffic way." Eddie responded, following Malcor inside the room. There, he looked around, and raised an eyebrow at the various instruments hanging by the wall. "Damn... I seriously don't want to know what you're in to." He muttered.

"If I do, then I do. Life is hard on Fenris, for man and beast. You have to be ready to kill or die. This one was." He patted the massive thunderwolf's head hanging over one of his shoulders. "He was ready to kill, and so was I. If he had been the stronger, then he would have won, and gotten to eat my corpse as his prize. Instead, I was the stronger, and got to wear his pelt back to The Fang in triumph. Either way, the strongest life on Fenris goes on."

"Well, obviously we have some sense about it. We do not release the wolves just anywhere on Fenris where the ordinary human tribes live. They are as hardy as mortal humans go, but while they can deal with the native Fenrisian wolves, a Wulfen would be too much to expect them to deal with. We release them only on Asaheim, where the only men who live there are our own brothers. Among us, strength must be everything. If a Space Wolf could not survive an attack by one of his Wulfen brethren, then how could he be expected to fight in the defence of mankind against the horrors of the universe?"

"Right... so aside from the good knight, who else would be worth the time to try and talk into doing the dirty work?" Pix asked next. "Maybe that guy in the white armor... provided that nutcase act of his is actually an act."

Ness listened to Ragnar and Kenna's conversation, keeping her thoughts to herself.

Jeezus, army people are crazy... Turning themselves into wolves and shit. Reese suddenly interjected in her mind.
Ness made no mental response as she continued playing her game, the PDA making soft arcade sounds with each button press.

"Well, it's too late once they become a Wulfen, and it really doesn't matter if they are slain by an Ork nob five minutes after deployment... we don't turn them into Wulfen ourselves, you know. It just... happens to some of us. The curse of the Wulfen cannot be untwined from the chapter gene-seed, unfortunately. We've been trying for long enough."

"Possible... I have only seen him that one time in battle, so I don't know anything about the man. And I don't like building plans on things I know nothing about." Solaris responded after giving the question some thought. "Hmm... Maybe that girl with those odd glowing parts integrated in her body. The way she acted, we might be able to use this to our advantage. But again, not knowing anything, it's too soon to say anything."

Taking the guitar off his back, Eddie sat down infront of Malcor, and idly began strumming a simple melody. As he did this, he leaned forward slightly. "Okay. Just don't speak out loud, and I doubt anyone'll be able to hear you over this. So, shoot."

Ragnar shrugged and shook his head.
"Don't be. We are the Sons of Russ. It is our duty and our nature. The honour of our sacred duty is worth the curse. If I were an ordinary human, with the prospect of a normal life to live, then I might feel differently, perhaps. No one should have to suffer that to no avail."

Ragnar uncorked his second bottle of spirits and drained it in one go.
"Hmm... no such creatures on earth, of course?"
