"She... wait, what?" Ragnar turned to look at Kenna. He had somehow missed what Nanami said about protecting humans.
Nanami stared at the man, rather confused by the man's absolute stubbornness. She glanced at Kenna for a moment, seeing that she at least had some thought, and seemed to strike a cord with Ragnar.
She simply listened for the moment, looking at Kenna for her to continue, seeing as Ragnar seemed to listen to her far better than herself.

"Nanami said that she protected humans, and asked if you did the same." Kenna said. "Maybe you should get your ears cleaned out."
Nanami simply nodded in agreement with what Kenna had said, then looked to Ragnar for his reply. Her look was not one of contempt or jeering. She simply waited for what he was going to say.
"What? But... she..." He turned to Nanami, clearly confused. "Well... yes, I am a Space Marine, the hammer and shield of Mankind. But how can you protect humans, when you are not human yourself? Seriously, where did you come from?"

She drank the remainder of the tea, and set the cup back down on the tray, before looking back up to the screen. "Maybe I'll tell you one day. Although, given your shapeshifting abilities, I don't see why you'd need it."

Nanami struck a sort of thinking pose, one with her webbed finger touching her chin. "Nnaannammi tthinnkks ddiimmeennssiioonnss. Vvaanneessaa ssaay tthatt beeforee annoommally." She eventually replied, seeming to not be quite sure herself, although given her lack of technology on her, it seemed to make a lot of sense she wouldn't really understand space travel or other time-space shenanigans.

"Well, I... yeah, maybe." Ragnar replied to Kenna bemusedly. He glanced down at Nanami again, momentarily wondering why she had her helmet on.
"Alright then, uh... I suppose I have no duty to destroy you." He muttered awkwardly, then gestured briefly at her with his bolter. "But I'll be keeping my eye on you, so do not try anything."
