"They also said that they will offer the victor his one greatest desire as well as his freedom?" Ragnar reminded Kenna, still staring off into the distance. "I have no desires other than to return to my duty and my battle-brothers. The way I see it, that one wish becomes a free ticket for any other human in here. Or abhuman, I suppose. Whatever that is." He gestured lazily at Nanami.

Nanami would allow Solaris to touch the spear as well, seeing no real issue with it at the moment. The spear would be slightly more metallic in nature than the armour, at least at the blade, but even then, it didn't seem to act like metal should. It would still have a more dull sound to it, but Solaris might be able to tell that the spear could take some significant punishment. Moreover, if she had had her gloves off, she would feel that is seemed to be more cool to the touch than she would first expect, and that it seemed slightly damp.

When Ragnar glanced over at Nanami behind her back, she seemed to let out a sneeze. Vaguely remembering what had been said at such times Nanami replied. "Eexxccuuse."

"I think she said her name was Nanami." Kenna said as Ragnar pointed at the fishlady. "And while just going home sounds nice, I'm afraid I might have to take that wish off you."

Knocking on the head and shaft of the spear, Solaris noted the noises produced by it. Not wanting to expose the nodes on her hands, she had kept the gloves on, so she didn't feel tha the spearhead was more damp then the shaft. With the material of the gloves being fairly thin, however, she did note that the head was more cool to the touch then the shaft. When there was nothing more she could learn from a cursory examination, she continued looking the spear over for a short time, as she did with the armour, before rising back to her feet.

"Well, that was interesting. Thanks for letting me examine your equipment." Solaris said to Nanami with a small smile, before pausing to indicate a change of subject. "When I was doing the dishes, I noticed the water moving towards you by a small amount. What did you do to make that happen?" She asked, pointingtowards the sink when she mentioned her doing the dishes.

"I got her name. Just didn't get what she is." Ragnar replied before taking his attentino away from the Merknight and focused on Kenna. "What's that now?"Then he understand, and felt like kicking himself.

"Oh. Yeah. Of course..."

"Watterr?" Nanami said as she looked over to the sink. She walked over to the sink, and looked at the taps for a moment as she tried to think of what to do with them. Shortly after she reached her hand out, and turned the cold tap. The water started to flow out, acting like it had before, although with Nanami being much closer the pull seemed a bit stronger. Nanami looked at it curiously, since normally she was surrounded with the stuff, she wouldn't have to opportunity to see this phenomenon. "IIt ddoeess. III lliike wwatterr. Wwaatteer llike Naannammi." She let out an awkward chuckle.

She stuck her hand in the stream for a moment as the water seemed to cling to her quite tightly, eventually pooling into almost a glove like fashion around her webbed hand.

"Yeah. I thought it'd be kind of obvious." Kenna chuckled slightly. "Sounds like a surefire way to get rid of this... thing, doesn't it?"

 

[Random berk]

"It would... certainly be one solution." Ragnar replied distantly, his expression slackening as he suddenly realised the gravity of this one wish.

So when I destroy all opposition here, I will have the choice of returning all our kind home and leaving Kenna to endure the curse of the Wulfen, or delivering her of her burden and condemning all the rest to whatever fate awaits them if they are left here. Allfather...

At Nanami's comment on the water, Solaris had to resist the urge to facepalm. Ugh... She hid her feelings, however, watching the water from the tap swirl around Nanami's hand before it formed a glove around it. "Interesting..." She commented. "So you can control water... How do you do that?"

[color=00aa44] "Affirmative." [/color] Vera stated in response to Rex before turning to Selim and blinking a bit. [color=00aa44] "As long as unit does its job, unit needs not care about self-preservation. Its simply following protocol." [/color]

Noting the man and woman, Vera blinked as she looked over them once again. [color=00aa44] "...These drawings... Inquiring who the man and woman depicted in them are." [/color]

Seras would be able to see the empty eyes of the demoness as she lifted her chin up. She said nothing in response but just gave the vampress in front of her a blank stare, seemingly staring into space through her.

Kenna noticed Ragnar's face slackening. "Hm? You ok?"

She looked back at Solaris and nodded. "III hhavve mmaggicc. Bbuut tthiis nnott mmaggicc." She said as she lifted up her hand with the water. "III aamm nnott ssuree wworrd to ssay." She thought for a moment, not sure how to explain that the water affinity was something her species could innately do.

Ragnar came back to himself with a start and met Kenna's eyes again.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just... thinking about about how we're actually competing for the favour of whatever aberrations run this place."

"I see..." Solaris responded, blowing a small sigh, having expected a more in-depth explaination on how the water clung to Nanami. She didn't linger on the topic for much longer, however instead, wishing to learn of the extend of Nanami's magical prowess. "Magic? Could you show me?" She asked, sounding curious.

[color=915f6d]"So shouldn't that be enough reason to look after yourself better as it is...?"[/color] He gave no response to the question regarding the drawings in favour of the topic of Vera's wellbeing.

"...I hadn't thought of that." Kenna said after a second of thinking. "I'm just used to tourneys and matches and stuff. Obviously they weren't as insane as this, but..."

OOC: Either Ragnar is an uncharacteristically good liar, or Kenna is quite gullible.

Ragnar shook his head stiffly.
"Lets just forget it for now. You have to have to kill an Elk before you start talking about where best tomount its antlers."

"So...No self preservation? That seems counterproductive."

"Exactly!" Kenna said, not completely understanding the analogy but not wanting to appear stupid.

Nanami shook her head 'no'. "Mmaggic nnoot nneeedded. Nnoot need uusee." She said, trying to say that magic wasn't something that you should just use willy nilly. "Sollarriis asskk llott. Sshee lliike Sselliim."

"III assk whhy tthiis?" She said as she poked at the point on her breastplate that had the Ouroboro on Solaris before pointing to Solaris herself.

Ragnar flashed a brittle smile at Kenna before taking one last look around the room.
"Too damned small..." He growled again under his breath, picking up his bolter from where he had left it lying on the bar counter.
"If you don't mind, I'll retire. I need to pray. The Emperor's guidance would be more than welcome right now..."
