'Yes, I know that's how they treat you, a people I see as brothers and sisters, and I hate it.'
Marisa said in a thick Draconic accent while gazing softly, almost sadly, at the Dragonborn.
She changed back to Common. 'I, however, am only here to ask if you've run into them or heard anything useful. If we can stop things like these from happening, perhaps we could restore the status of the Dragonborn one day.'

The dragonborn reappraised Marisa, and then nodded.
"Like I said, no one trusts me here, especially not the thieves."

Several people move for the door as it is getting late in the day, including the sodden elf and the shady characters who glanced about themselves furtively.

"Oh, alright." Reggie said to Wulf. He really didn't have that problem(except for a few elfs, but he tended to ignore them due to his thought that he was better than them) so he thought he really couldn't relate to him.

He then looked outside and thought about getting to bed soon. He would have to find a secure place though to sleep due to the shady characters he was seeing. "They're not even really hiding themselfs, this time..." he muttered to himself.

He suddenly found himself missing Deasil for some reason. At least with him, Reggie knew that he would think twice, a third time, and even a forth, plus, probably a fifth for good measure, about sneaking in and stealing or attacking him but with these guys, who knows? Maybe one of them has a grudge against paladins. This place was for some reason making him uneasy now, probably cause he realized now that he would actually need to stay there for the night, instead of being gone in a hour or two like he thought.

Marisa chuckled briefly. 'No, I thought it more likely you had beat some up on your way here. Very well, I shall investigate elsewhere. Good day.' With a slight bow, she turned and walked out the door with some other patrons.

Following a dusty trail up a hill, Marisa sought a view she had first imagined when she arrived there, and there it was. As she came to the top, the brilliant red sun painted the landscape, which opened before her, scarlet. It stretched for as far as she could see through a valley and into forest paths, rivers just barely visible by virtue of the orange glow reflected from Lord Pelor.

She sighed contently and thanked him. It was things like these that fuelled her passion these days. The little things, full of beauty and wonder. She sat down cross-legged, put her backpack in her lap, closed her eyes and enjoyed the last warmth offered for today. She easily slipped into a meditative trance in this position, most serene.

"I wonder if this tavern has anymore rooms left?" Reggie said to himself. If it did then he might as well go ask for one but the number of people filing out made him think that it didn't. Oh well, maybe he could sleep in the miners bunks or outside.

Reggie decided to check the tavern first anyways so with that he got up and walked over to the bar. "Excuse me, as someone who just came into town recently, could you please forgive my ignorance and direct me to where traveling guests are able to get some sleep at?"

"Pretty much right here. We don't get a huge number of travelers, but we always have a few. But I'm the only place that rents rooms." the bartender replied while polishing a glass.

Marisa slowly opened her eyes as the sun was almost gone below the horizon. She felt a bit lonely, and was thinking of her alleged brother. Though her upbringing at the monastery had been good, she had never really had anyone that close to her. She wanted someone like him to be that one. Needed. Despite her fruitless search for the past years, however, she did not feel discouraged presently. She was making actual friends for once, and rarely lapsed into brooding compared to in the past.

She got up and stretched, groaning softly. She had enjoyed how the day had been relatively slow. Heaving the backpack to her back, she strolled down the hill back to the tavern. Entering, she patted Reggie on the back as she approached the bar, overhearing the conversation.

'Best we share a room for the best rates then, eh?'

Wulfstain remained silent throughout this time, dozing quietly against a wall, perhaps, waiting for a fight to break out or someone to wake him when his services are required. His eyes are open and he seems uneasy, as he always does when he's asleep, probably deeply involved in a fight within his own mind, preparing himself and strengthening his resolve.

His fingers tightly grip the maul, holding the worn weapon almost as closely as a priest would hold a sacred relic.

He doesn't seem to respond even to loud conversations or movements, only the clangs of armour and the heavy steps of their wearers can stir up some sort of life within his unmoving form.

Reggie looked at Marisa and said, "Well, if you want to, i'm all for it. Maybe then Wulf can get a room this time."

He then looked over at Wulf, about to ask him something until he took a close look at him. "Wait, is he asleep?"

Marisa had to chuckle. 'Haha.. looks like it. He did sleep in his tent before. Guess he prefers being alone. Alright then, tavern keeper. One room.'

"Ten silver," replies the bartender.

But at that moment, a dirty group of men burst through the door wielding crude clubs.

"Oi! There's the redhead! Take 'er!" shouts one as he points at Marisa. The quartet move forward menacingly.

And roll for initiative. You'll find your character sheets on the first page, which will hold your initiative bonus. If you need a dice program, just google "d20 dice generator" and you should find something.
So I should be getting three 1d20 + x rolls, one from each of you. If you need further help, just send me a PM.
Marisa is at D14
Reggie: C15
Wulfstain: B20

'Take me, eh?' Marisa grinned wide before shouting at the top of her lungs. 'Wulfstain, time to punish some scum!'

Once called upon, Wulfstain stood up from his position, swaying slightly as he lifted his maul.
His face is tinted red as he stares at his opponents for a few moments, then dissolves into a gibbering madman, mumbling some sort of unintelligible prayers.
